Why do these Pianos Have Organ ? Or Synth voices ? Players Have a Capable Organ ? Players Have a Synthesizer voices that can do what they need ? There are lot Other Sounds that you are missing all Orchestral sounds all Woodwinds , All Brass .
The loudness of the video is very low ca. 10db lower than RU-vid max. See also youtube's nerd statitistics for this video ! Otherwise nice keyboard for the money.
I got one sp6. The quality of the samples does not convince me that this is a real kurzweil. The piano samples are inferior to those on K2600 (fortunately the samples of k2600 are included into sp6). Not to mention the strings samples which sound like 8 bit casios. Same for the choir samples. The manual is only 14 pages and provides no in deep information. In fact the instrument does not have a manual! This is absolutely ridiculous. The keyboard feels spongy and hard and you cannot even adjust the velocity maps! I also have a K2000 since 1996 and a K2600 since 2002 so i can tell the difference (manual for the K2000 was about 1000 pages or more). Sp6 is not exactly bad but it is not of equal quality to the kurzweil i knew. Makes me think i d rather had got the casio px5s.
You can adjust velocity maps......the manual is not yet complete but I think you need to dig a little deeper into the instrument before you make statements like these.
I think it's almost impossible that the piano and string samples in the SP6 would be inferior to your ageing K2600. It's subjective of course but the technology, sample size and FX are light years ahead in the SP6.
You can change velocity presets but you cannot adjust (edit) them and save your own velocity maps like you can do on K2000. Better learn to read and understand what you re reading.
Yes, thats maybe the reason that they included k2600 piano samples into sp6! (preset #9 & 10). Sample size makes little sense if you dont know how to sample properly. But dont get me wrong. Pianos on sp6 are ok. They are playable and acceptable. K26 samples are still better though (especialy on high notes). What is ridiculous is the mediocre quality of strings and choirs. K2000 strings are way better and still very good with today standards. Their overall attitude tells me that this is not kurzweil.
Sorry I misunderstood adjust for change but I think you are expecting too much from a $1,300.00 stage piano. If you want that kind of level of programming ability you would have to spend the $4,000.00 and get the Forte. As far as the sounds go that is subjective and a matter of personal preference. I think the new APs are far more realistic than the old Kurzweil tripple strike. My first Kurzweil was the K1000 then 2000 then PC88 then PC3 and now the SP-6 and I see great improvements in APs and EPs. Just my 2 cents.
I almost got this, bought the Casio PX- 560 for $849 open box. Love the keybed and sounds, hate the touch screen. no reason you should have to go to a new screen to adjust volumes on a layer. Stupid UI
