I was fishing in a 2 1/2 acre lake, caught a huge bass, he jumped up out of the water then went down and got tangled in the brush. He broke my line while I was trying to get him out. Went back the next day to fish some more, caught the exact same fish because when I got it in the boat it had my hook still in the corner of his mouth. Weighed 9 lbs 15 oz. True fish story.
I've seen fish caught with hooks in the mouth. My cousin caught one with a spinner bait in it mouth. It didn't look like it had been there for very long. Wasn't a big fish either. Two and a half maybe.

I haven't seen such messed-up footage since those little reel-to-reel films of the 1960s! Slow-motion type of footage, blurry at times, and even some freezes going on here. Oh, well...at least we got to see the big bass that he caught!
It's like golf or bowling you are out there watching someone else do something that you can do while wishing that you were doing it looks like the perfect time to go to another local lake you could have it all to yourself every person with a bass boat is at toledo bend I have never been in that part of the country but I assume that there are other lakes to fish at

People have to realize you don't need to be next to KVD to watch him fish, give the man some room, he's throwing CB's for christ sakes. You can burn all his spots after he wins it tomorrow

I’ll bet you ANYTHING the people who are complaining about the “back up” remark are the same people who would be rollin up 20 yards from one of these guys, yelling “WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO GO GET EM” while they’re finessing a worm in 2 feet of water. Guys, I know it’s easy to think that “he works in public, he has fans, blah blah” is the only thing that matters. It fucking isn’t....there’s a time and a place for that. If you wanna get up close and personal, ask questions, etc....DO IT ON DRY LAND. Go to an event, catch him while he’s not busy. This guy is fishing for his mortgage payments. He’s fishing to feed his kids. The difference between catching and losing a fish like this can mean thousands of dollars. This isn’t the little leagues you’re watching. This isn’t a hobby of his, he’s not out there to have fun...you have to understand that. I know it’s sort of like finding out that Santa isnt real but so be it. Some people are just dumb and have absolutely no concept of etiquette or context.
In the bass world, kvd is the king. Ive had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and he is a true professional. Just stay out of his way on the water.
On two occasions I have been turned away because I wash my boats after every use and use bleach / water to ensure there are no mussels aboard . However if they find even a drop of water in the bilge you can’t launch . On both of those occasions I wasn’t deterred and fished from the shore while the expert’s were in their boats 50 feet away . There’s nothing more fun for a senior citizen to do than land a few 10 lbrs. In front of these young whippersnappers .
At first, I thought those were fellow competitors, which made me think, WTH are all of them doing on top of each other. Then I read some comments and realized they're just FANS watching him fish. REALLY? Oh my god, and I thought my son watching other people play video games was stupid!
