One of the worst games Kwame had. Thats the game where you can see ugly garbage face of Stephen A.Smith. Exactly. He thought this is the game where he should be... Another bad luck for Kwame.
This Lakers team actually ended up in the Finals that season after trading for Gasol a couple of weeks after this, while the Suns went out in 5 in the first round. Would never have thought that at this time.
If Kwame Brown stayed with the Lakers in 2008, the Lakers would have beaten the Celtics in five games in the NBA Finals. Browns great footwork speed, great rebounding chances and legendary defense is what separated from the rest of the centers in that era. Even though his hands were very small it actually avoided him from getting into foul trouble throughout his career. What a player Kwame Brown really was to play with Jordan and The black mamba who gave him a lot of praise till he retired.
@@thereal3801 I'm so glad to make you laugh. Lol! I was actually laughing while writing the paragraph. I suffered as a Laker fan watching Kwame Brown playing for the Lakers BUT when Kobe would have those big legendary games, he will make me temporarily forget Kwame Brown was in the squad. Kwame Brown 8pts 7 turnovers in this game, he played like Lebron James in the 2007 NBA Finals. Lol!
Im Champ exactly! I mean would you pass it to kwame? and Odom isnt really an outstanding support as well as walton. Kobe had shit teammates.. oh gosh I remember smush parker T.T
Did Pul You kidding? I’d kill to have the teammates Kobe had. That man had a ton of help. Shaq carrying the 3 years they won, Artest and Fisher coming up huge in the Finals against Boston in 2010. Kobe had all the help in the world.
Remembered this game. A week after Bynum got injured. But Kobe defended Kwame from fans booing saying he got his back. After a few weeks he was traded for Pau Gasol then the rest was history.
I didn't turn it off but his ass was messing up I'm guilty for born him I thought he was playing for Phoenix and had a Lakers uniform😂😂😂 kick kwame to any of the other 31 teams in the League my opinion the bottom line did not hold up to all the hype around him
All Kwame needed is more dedication. While others are out partying. He has to be in the gym. while others are sleep. Gym. While others are booing.. Gym.... repetition... heart.
Fultz isn't even that bad. He is a decent player who could have averaged way more statistically if the Philly coach didn't bench him everytime he was hot.
@That guy who is banging Ayesha Curry have you seen bennett? the dude barely played in the league and he was picked no 1 overall. Even kwame himself played for several seasons. Bennett never could dream of having a season like 2004 with kwame. Kwame averaged 11 and 8 in that season.
That guy who is banging Ayesha Curry Bennett was a much bigger bust and worse player than Brown. Bennett was out of the league before his rookie contract was even up, Brown bounced around the league for almost a decade. Larue Martin was picked first in the early 70s n worse than Brown. Kent Benson and Pervis Ellison both picked first had similarly weak careers as Brown and Markelle Fultz may eclipse Brown as an all time worst number one pick when it’s all said and done for him.
Now I get why Kobe never passed the ball. xD It's better for you to throw the ball out of bounds than give it to this dude lol. At least, your opponents can't run the fastbreak. xD
Kwame was more interested in money than improving his skills or becoming a smarter player. He hurt the Lakers salary cap and he is considered a parasite milking franchises which is smart on Kwames perspective.
I am even shocked he has all these people believing that he was good and supporting him. I understand the bullying went too far. But he talking like he was good, that is crazy.
@@chriswalker143 The comparison that shows that he wasn't that good is with those in the NBA. Of course everybody who makes it to the NBA is good. That's why they get drafted and offered millions. As to whether they are great or not is a comparison we make among them. When I say Michael, Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan etc are great, I am definitely comparing them to their mates in the NBA. I think they have bullied him enough and enough is enough.
@@chriswalker143 nah its not hard for a 7 footer to stay in the league a long time. When you want size in the paint, and it doesn't cost too much, its possible.
Me too till I remembered how much he got paid. He just didn’t put in the work. This is lack of practice on his own. Looks like no real love for the game.
@@lkjkjhhgf Just being tall isn't going to get you anywhere when your competition is also just as tall. We're talking about the 500 greatest basketball players in the world.
I know Kwame Brown is a scrub but his own fans can't boo him. Do they think it will make him play better? If Kobe had a bad game they didn't boo him (I'm no comparing Kobe to Kwame). So disrespectful. Fans need to stick with their team and players, even if they are doing awful. You don't boo your own team
+Agent of Chaos Jordan made Kwame cry in front of his teammates. Some people you need to yell at and others you have to pat on the back. Grown men can be emotional
I still don’t understand how the Lakers won 45 games during the 2005-06 season. 3 players were retired within a year (Jackson, Medvedenko, McKie). 3 players were out of the league due to lack of talent within 2 seasons (Profit didn’t finish the season, Green was cut before the start of the next, Smush was overseas after the 2007-08 season) Bynum was a rookie. The rest were bench players, role players at best (Walton, George, Mihm, Wafer, Cook, Turiaf, Sasha) Lamar Odom is the only one worth mentioning but he clearly thrived as a sixth man coming off the bench later on in his career. Kobe dragging that team to 45 wins is still astounding to me.
I remember this game so It was definitely hard to watch him play ball again 😅 but his Live streams in just 4 days were way more entertaining than his years in the nba by far
I remember this game, This was from the 07'-08' season & Phil Jackson left Kwame Brown in the game to see how he would handle the pressure.... & he just crumbled under the weight. it wasn't too long afterwards when the Lakers made that Blockbuster Trade that sent Kwame away & brought in Pau Gasol & my Lakers started winning championships again! 🏀🏆 #Lakernation
It's even more of an insult that he was a laker during kobe's best years when kobe could've won a championship if only he had someone more competent than kwame and smush
I truly believe that when the score was 62-46 suns at the beggining of the third, the lakers said ''fuck it let's just start trolling everybody and throw the ball to Kwame like he the second coming of Kareen'', I mean clearly kobe and Phill gave zero fucks about this game hahaha. I guess they wanted everyone to see the trash Kwame was so they gave him the ball time and time again
I saw him live at Lakers exhibition game. It was hard to watch. You can just tell how uncomfortable he was. I'm pretty sure he got booed during that game. He looks like someone that doesn't want to be there and is just going through the motions...
Imagine having Michael Jordan for a teammate as a rookie, then to make your confidence better... playing with Kobe some years later. Definitely not an easy task.
@Chris Spencer i am not really mad at him saying something back but making excuses for kwame being a bust is kinda annoying especially when u blame kobe for this
@@dareelniggarican666 yea I agree with that everybody got the right to defend themselves i respect him as a man but he get a lil too personal when they was just talking basketball the sad truth is he was trash and that was on nobody but himself dude out here playing like he never practices and cheating the fans if prime kwame was on ur team u would be hash tagging how he needs to be cut cmon now they get paid millions to do that at a high level and he clearly didn't work on his game and the criticism is apart of the business making to the nba is a dream and this guy couldn't make basic layups most ppl can make
Everyone agreed that MJ abuse this young man from day one 3 hours practices before each game telling him he want be nothing and to make it even worst MJ had teammates to foul him and cause injuries. Yes mostly his injuries came from practice because he didn’t have much playing time to get hurt
I was at this game. Everyone booed relentlessly when he turned that ball over and then after the missed dunk. I almost felt bad but those who remember what he did all season my God it was boiling. The fans all turned that night. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m so glad I was there to boo along with everyone 😂
Was Phil Jackson trying to turn the fans on him? Why the hell didn't they sub him out if he was playing so poorly? Surely the Lakers must have had a few other bigs in reserve, even taking injuries into account.
Thanks for the upload, I've been looking this for years! After losing to Suns two straight year in the playoffs, the lakers knew they couldn't win a championship with kwame brown on the floor. I believe this was the moment where talks of trading kwame were happening
I saw him play in high school he should have went to college for at least two years to develop his game and mature mentally.....but then again I don't think he was no Einstein in the classroom either...glad he got that money 💰 💰 💰....live well my friend
Dude, if I were a NBA player I would be one of the best. Because I would put in effort for hours. And you telling me this dude who has the body of a great NBA player, can't even average 24 ppg 12 rpg and 3 apg? C'mon man.
@@DJlaffin LOL thats true, but Kwame clearly had zero basketball iq. Look at the way he set screens. He has no idea what he's doing out there. He's out of position on almost every play. I'm not going to the extreme of the other guy, talking about 24/12/3, but shit, I sure as hell wouldn't look as bad as Kwame did in this clip.
@@DJlaffin Dude you could at least be an NBA caliber big not an allstar. But like average a good 15 a game have some good IQ. I’d be in the gym everyday trying to work on my game to be successful and with Kobe on my team I could easily get advice.
I remember watching this game. The Lakers were straight ass this game. Kramer did stink but for the crowd to single him out like that was awful. Michael Jordan and Doug Collins ruined him!
It’s really sad what I just seen. I’m very positive that man never cared to better his game. Just another NBA player who didn’t care to develop his game
