Thank you for your service guys -Salute to service : I was an operator and am so proud of the KDF-:- I would like to thank my time in service and all I have learned ,it’s true there are challenges big once- PTSD is real we all victims ,policies need to be made to help out our men and women in uniform and their families ,for me I knew when to stop am retired and am going to use the skills KDF gave me to better my life as a law abiding civilian - AATW -RLTW God bless Kenya
I proudly served in the Navy for 14yrs and I can tell you the pressure in there is unbearable, I was pushed to the extreme but gladly I'm doing good. What men/women in uniform undergo only them and God know but respect to them. I'm now a family man try to get back into the civilian life and its good I can say.
being in the forces for 10 years my self i wish people would understand the sacrifice people in uniform go through, it takes Grace of God to be normal again
Respect to our service men and women, they deserve better and mental health should be made a priority especially for returning soldiers to transition well to adapt the out of service life
I served KDF for 7yrs when you Join the Army you are trained and transformed to be a Soldier when you leave the Army you leave as a Soldier not As a Civilian then to fit into the Civilian Population is another uphill task
sorry for the traumatising experience of being kicked out unceremoniously......my late dad (rip)shem olum passed on at the rank of a WO2 an officer of Kenya Army Band by then.
Talking about Moyale prison Canteen🙄🙄 I was there 1997/98. wanajeshi walikuwa wanalewa ovyo mpaka tunawapea malazi.... moyale raha!! Thank God niliwacha hiyo kazi ya unyanyasaji
@@steveropes9321 but 97/98 ni mbali, those yrs I was 7_8 yrs. I heard there was no good road from nrb to moyale, nowadays Barbara ni smooth, thou the journey is too long
When I discharged I almost became depressed I was drinking like a loser but I thank GOD I had an understanding wife now am in gulf been in gulf since 2013 rebuilding my life i even forgot i was a soldier I only remember I was nikiona picture zangu ama mtu aniite I even had an incident last year nikiwa vacation someone mocked me ati me nikioga nilihepa jeshi I almost killed him for unleashing the beast in me
Sad for what you went through and what the guy said to you. I feel happy to hear that you are rebuilding your life albeit a day at a time. Mental health issues are real among our serving and ex-officers. You should consider setting up something to support other suffering officers and helping them get through and manage their issues.
Naomba usiwai patana na polisi weww ujue huko sio kwa mzazi. 70% of inmates do not agree with you since they are innocent and someone paid for them to be in prison. This is not America where evidence is collected and only 30% of innocent people are in prison. Our system is flawed and cops will only attend to a case if you have money or you have already done all the work and you are handing them the culprit on a silver platter, na pia hapo wanaweza muwachilia. Kesi wanapenda ni domestic violence ndivyo wawe na story ya kupiga kwa Station. Omba sana usipatane nao, ndio utajua haujui.
In the army there are two categories of torture, body torture and psychological torture. Body torture is caused by the physical training while psychological torture are caused by lack of enough sleep and the so called wakubwa's. Kdf is hell on earth thanks to God i left.
Ghaaaii!! Nime laugh hatari 🤣🤣🤣🤣, eti police ni Civilians are not like us, wao ni Raiaaa....Actually Police force isn't counted as Armed Force (Military) in a country....Police ni Paramilitary, Group of Civilians who are going through some trainings ambazo ni Military alike, but they're CIVILIANS🤣🤣 🤣🤣
The gun carrying jobs are defined by the laws of the land.. BUT THE POLICE ARE THE BEST WHEN THEY CARRY OUT TASKS USING WEAPONS AND BRAINS & NOT COMMANDS You can bear me witness of the REC SQUAD, THEY'RE ARE MERELY POLICE OFFICERS
Kama umeshindwa regular army Kuna constabulary,Kuna UN utaingia easily na pia Kuna opportunity mob y retired soldiers so ukikubali depression Io n shida yko, kubali life after kukaa barracks
I served in the kenya Air force for 9 years and left on compassionate grounds. I thank God for the experience, no regrets to make for it. However the issues raised here are stuff i resonate with.
