I can relate my late dad was discharged from the military in mysterious circumstances and really suffered but he still remains my hero he fought PTSD without any treatment, turned his life around, started a business from scratch and even went ahead to become a church elder. God also heals he died of an accident but he was a changed man. I honor all soldiers and know what PTSD does

Thank you Dr King'ori for bringing this issue to light. Our heroes are suffering and there is no one else addressing the issues. Majority of the soldiers will tell you they are trained to fight the enemy, bury the dead but nothing to do with integration back to the society after wars. i just wish there can be a special psychiatric hospital for our men who serve this country with zeal and zest.

It's a security risk to have such kind of men In the military. They need special care but you see even the most advanced militaries in the world have such cases from those who served for their country. War is an easy thing to talk about. As the title of Sebastian Bae’s piece says, "war is only romantic if you have never been in one. I have seen close friends killed, I have held young boys in my arms as they died. I have taken the lives of other human beings. I have known fear so intense as to drive good men insane."

Therapy should be mandatory for those in the army and police force. Many people don't come out to talk about their PTSD unless they're pushed to seek therapy and it's always too late when we realise they need the help. I feel like it should just be part of the job. It would help a lot from an early stage.

God bless you bro for making these voices that have been silenced for long to be heard. I have been in their shoes before, though am from another service. Luckily, I have a very supportive family- especially my mom. Am still in service and the govt is trying to help members of the service with mental health in general. Where the govt is failing though, is how to prepare members of service to transform into civilian life. Very many veterans either take their lives or sometimes along with the lives of their loved ones once outside service because of how the govt fail to take care of them. The burden of their service is not proportional to the send off packages in place now- especially those that get discharged before their retirement and this hero is just an example. #ALL_GAVE_SOME_BUT_SOME_GAVE_ALL
