This video and your comment was gold. Thanks. I opened the lid of the master and then needed channel locks to push the caliper piston back in. The master spit some fluid but the pads and pressure all seem to be good to go. Thanks.
My brake pads became loose and I lost them in the dirt, lost pin+ brake pads. But do I need that metal clip sitting on top of the brake pads in the brake caliper? I assume either it dropped together with my brake pads, or I never had em.
It's not a seal pin. No lube or cleaning needed if it's in good shape. Adding lube attracts more dirt and dust. My bike goes into water, sand and mud to often to lube that.
