"Sonic, my love" That sentence gave me a little chill when I finished playing Sally.exe

1:08 is where it starts in the game

Not many people give this melody the respect it deserves, and it's mostly outshadowed by the music in the original sonic.exe game. The music of both "..." and act 9 create a feeling of hopelessness. This fits really well in both cases. In the original game, Eggman when he sees X doesn't fight like Knuckles or flee like Tails, he just stands there. He's seen how Tails and Knuckles were killed and knows it's no point to try and run or fight back, and to accept his fate would be alot easier than a needless struggle. For act 9, unlike Robotnik, Sally doesn't accept her fate. It's hopeless because there is no way to escape. Both Amy and Cream could've technically survived if they played their cards right. But Sally's trapped. She can NOT escape no matter what she does. Towards the end it starts to speed up, most likely referencing Sally growing more and more panicked. Then it slows again. She's dead, her heart no longer remains beating.

The song basically says: "It’s all over, there is nothing you can do, accept your fate, in the world of death..."

No matter how bad Sonic.exe may be This music will be amazing

And then Sunkey.MPEG presses a button to retract the walls, and the song quickly reverse speeds up and then Sally gets cereal and milk.

I think the point of it is sallys heart beat and Everytime she fears, the walls close in and when the walls close in her heart beats gets faster and faster

Thank you. To be honest I was expecting more from Sally.EXE, the art scared me a lot more than the pasta itself. So I wanted the music to compensate and add up to the atmosphere... Like I said in my parallel Sally.EXE upload, I just wish the levels weren't that short and actually allowed the music to show off more. Plus more tension. Things are described to happen too fast...

I love this music. It's dark, but strangely beautiful, and it's very effective, given the context.

You know, I almost feel... *...compressed,* whenever I hear this. I wonder why..

The thing that I love about this ost is that it gives this sense of “it’s all over, its the end and just accept your fate because there’s nothing you can do”. Everyone being there as souls along with Exe also adds to that sense of feeling too. I also read that it symbolizes Sally’s heartbeat, and when the song slows and ends that means shes fully dead, and gone. And I agree with that too.

I love the Hill Act 1 motifs, and also the fact there is so much effort put into this slapper of a song that only lasts like 20 seconds in the game lol, great job

The music sounds like our composer friend struggles to not slip back in his old "Hill.gym" leitmotif. I guess every single music composer has that one riff or motif that they just cannot keep away from, no matter how hard they try.

My claustrophobia kicked in real quick.

This actually sounds more like a depressing yet desperate attempt for survival instead of full on depression. "Just..A little longer. The end is almost there, I know it. I just need to hang on a little more and that monster will finally go away." *A few hours later. Sally finally died by the hands of exe painfully. Moments before she died, she was witnessing the world around her saturate in colors and melt away, while remembering what hope she had for escape. If only, she did.*

I remember I saw this video when I was young and I was so terrified that I didn’t sleep that night. I literally cried when I was in bed thinking that this thing will kill me brutally. This still terrifies me to this day

Nice use of the Genesis/Megadrive sound front for this and sonic.exe after all it was the music from both that built the suspense

This song is a requiem. A requiem for Sally's death. From 0:00 to 0:18, it's the beginning of her fate, she's warped in a random, dark, unknown place. From 0:18 to 1:08, she's walking, not sure about what is going to happen to her, then suddenly her heart starts to beat faster, because something dangerous is coming. The music level increasing means that the danger is closer to her, second after second. From 1:08 to 1:36, she's running, she's running from something, or someone. The fast the music is, the fast her heart beats... She desesperately search for a way to escape the trap she's locked in. From 1:36 to 1:44, she finally accepts her fate, she accepts that she's going to die, there's no more fighting, no more struggling, just acceptation, before death. The last note at 1:45 is her last heart beat, when she finally dies, killed by a monster she once loved.

This music was/is a stellar description of my past self, which words couldn't describe this exactly... I was tragic and filled with hate... This piece is still so heavy and yet so lovely to me. And yet, it came out of a corny ".exe" Sonic fangame ahaha

Once again, a song better than the creepypasta. The buildup and the signature style create the atmosphere of more tragedy and desperation, leading up to the climax as the tempo of the song increases to up the tension. And all of this with the Genesis style? Wow.
