One other thought, I really appreciate the respect you show each other. In our hyper adolescent national culture we need grown ups as a counterweight, not cranky grownups, just thoughtful and respectful adults. You are both that. Thank you.
@n1spirit
@n1spirit 4 года назад
OMG. Amen to that comment. I love that they are both respectful of one another also. I've seen some channels with adult couples that interrupted one another (and others) constantly. I quit following one young couple because I just couldn't take one more day of her complaining, the two of them "picking at" one another or his constant interruptions. I won't identify the channel; they're a decent enough couple... Just got to be too much for me, some of the things I kept observing there. This channel is wholesome and fun.

Thanks for being with us for Season 7. This was a fun one! For a complete list of ALL the RV Parks, we stayed at during SN7, check out the blog www.keepyourdaydream.com/heartland We're also using RV Trip Wizard more and more now. It took a bit of time to figure out, but we love that it has just about every RV Park in America pre-loaded with rates. bit.ly/KYD-RV-Trip-Planning Next season starts in 7 days! Thank You for the GREAT season 7! Love the Recap. I am from Ohio, transplanted to Florida when I was ten. I've lived in Florida 55 years and still consider myself from the Heartland! I have family in Mesa and Holbrook, AZ and visited for the 3rd time in my life for Thanksgiving 2018. It was the first time for my hubby of 47 years and he loved AZ, we took a three week trip in our Surveyor RV and had the most rewarding trip. We are now planning to sell the farm and go full time for a couple of years. The recap was wonderful and will add many to our list of places to visit. When we bought our TT in May 2018, your channel was the first one I came across on RU-vid. I binge watched all of them until caught up!! Your videos are fun, they make you laugh, they are informative and educational. Your artistic ability and music choice is a wonderful skill you incorporate that gives the viewer a calm and thoughtful experience. In WV, you have to visit the New River Gorge National River, phenomenal! Thank You again. Safe travels for Season 8!

I love the recap. It gives us some great highlights. We get to hear your joy in the things you did and saw, and the sense for your appreciation of the areas you visit. I cannot wait to get back to RVing. Started in 1964 with a Hi-Lo trailer behind a 62 Chevy Bel Aire. We started in Johnstown, PA and zig zagged across the states visiting my Dad's 8 living brothers and sisters. We stopped in Ridgecrest, CA to visit his brother and never left! We kept on camping though. Eventually graduating to a van and the trailer, then to 1973 Winnebago Brave. As an adult I have done van and tent, a 74 Winnebago Indian, a Ranger and Jayco Tent Trailer, a 30 ft Mallard with a Suburban, then a 2500 HD 4x4 pickup. Sold my trailer after 2 years of disuse (6 foot surgeries in 2 years). I hope to build my own, so I can retire and go back across the states, up to Alaska, and share the experience with my husband (he is 6'7"!). Can't wait!!!

Other commentators here hit the nail on the head, it is not only the quality of the production (Wow, Marc and Trish , amazing work) and the locations they travel to, it is the obvious respect, love and admiration this family has for each other that draws me in week after week. You can just tell they are good people raising good people. Thank you for letting us get a small glimpse into your lives.

Wow Charlie is all grown up . When got charlie it maybe my favorite moment. But I have so many favorites. One of the heart touching moment was when you road in the old World War II planes and seeing the writing in inside the planes it made me emotional to think of those brave young men and women who served and are serving our country. But really enjoyed following this season our country is so Beautiful I don’t know people realize what’s out there to see . My family and I did a couple cross country trips we had a great time . So many great times . Unfortunately I was injured at work and I am 100% disabled now . So I’m living vicariously though your family now. I hope to improve so that we can make more memories.

My husband and I have just purchased a new RV and starting to plan our first roadtrip in it. Problem is I am recovering from pneumonia and still on oxygen.. I am getting stronger everyday and soon we will be heading out, destination at this point still up in the air!! I have been binge watching your channel and I am loving every minute of it. You guys are great, love your family. I cried when Maddie passed, and super excited when you got Charlie. Watching your kids grow up was like watching my own, way to fast. I have decide of all the prescriptions I take you and your family is by far the best medicines I am taking. So I want to thank all of you for keeping my dreams alive. I hope that some day we are neighbors in some far off RV park. Safe travels my friend.

Just finished binge-watching season 7. Here's my two pennyworth, (As we say in a very cold northern England). What a joy to watch! If you were to believe the news, you get one view of America. The lovely people you meet, shows a completely different face. To me it just reinforces the place visiting the "REAL" America has on my bucket list! Coming from the oldest national park in the UK, I particularly enjoyed the sheepdog trials episode. Kentucky looks like English countryside, just, more of it! Lol... I also find the respectful relationship you guys share is the quintessential glue that makes this such an enjoyable watch. Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone! I wish you well for series 8 and beyond! Can't wait to see what you get up to!

Again. I love you guys! You appreciate the things so many overlook. I’m one of those who am just happy to have my truck running and bringing me where I need to go for work. It’s not old but things work and I’ve been lucky to not have accidents or tire blowouts (I do Reno remodel so nails in tires happen a lot!!) I think your channel should be shared more. The joy and privilege to see an be in so many places is infectious. I not the traveling type- I like my spot and routine but I have lived in travel trailers for years at a time when my kids were little (stayed in Fl) because we all fit in such tiny places. Anyway love this video and keep on going because it’s such a great thing to see honesty and reality that encompasses true issues and the resolution without coming from a millionaire or someone who hasn’t a clue how people think or function on the daily basis that is real life. 😍

Me and my fiancé are living in an RV while I’m working as a travel nurse and traveling across the country, and I had to share with you a couple of our favorite spots in two of the states you haven’t done yet! Kearney, Nebraska is such a cute little town with the greatest people and SO MUCH history! It’s the place where during the westward expansion in history that the Mormon, Oregon, and California trails all met, and there’s the COOLEST museum (The Archway) there that walks you through that history and the history of the interstates. Fort Kearney State Rec Area is a beautiful place to stay, or for full hookups the Kearney RV Park is also fantastic and homey! In Southern Oklahoma, Lake Murray State Park is absolutely GORGEOUS. We just stayed overnight, but we had wished that we could’ve stayed for much longer. They have the most incredible sites with waterfront views, and the lake is huge with anything you could want to do there. We stayed in November and the weather was perfect. Highly highly recommend!! We love your channel and seeing all of the amazing places that you all go! We’ll be rocking our KYD hats on our adventures now too!

Hey Mark, here's a tip for you. I make firestarters by saving corks from wine bottles in a plastic bag. After I have about a dozen or so, I put them in a coffee can and cover them with denatured alcohol. Cover the can and let the alcohol soak in, usually 3-4 days. next time you want to start a fire, take a couple of those and place under your kindling. You'll have a fire in no time. This works kind of like a sterno can but much more fun.

Love your channel. We watch every Sunday. Because of your content and others, we have decided to go full time and just purchased a class A; yesterday. We are so existed and scared. Just wanted to say, Pigeon Forge has a ton of history. If you take a little bit of time there and talk to the locals, you will find places to go besides the amusement parks. We are there every year for the past ten and love it. We usually spend Christmas in the cabin with all of our kids and grandchildren. Sevierville down Weirs Valley Road has more local shops, and Gatlinburg has the craft loop. Some amazing shops there; from the locals. Please look for indication on each building for local crafters. To us it's not an attraction, it's a destination. So many memories and fun there. Just felt like I needed to give a shout out for Pigeon Forge. They are a very strong community, you just need to get to know them. Looking forward to season 8 and excited to see the new rig! Enjoy every day!!

I love the recaps, you do such a great job showing the best videos. I've seen all your videos so the recaps are the "best of" and are helpful for when I want to visit any areas you have, particularly the UP.

Love the recaps! Kentucky & Michigan are now on my wish list bc of your video. How long have you been traveling? It’s been fun watching your kids grow up along the way. I cry with Trish when she has to tell one of them goodbye. You two are going to be bored when Caleb isn’t there to entertain you! lol Can’t wait to see the big reveal for next season!

All Season 7 videos were awesome but this one was fantastic! It was bits and pieces of your entire trip. Guntersville, AL, Smokey Mountains and Nashville, TN are within short driving distance from my Hometown. We have been to these areas many times!

Love, love, love your recaps of the seasons. Season 7 may be my favorite so far. We've been at this for a year and 1/2. (rving with a 5th wheel, a Grand Design Reflection,...not full time yet, but it's in the plan) North Dakota should be in your sights at some point. I grew up there so I'm a bit biased, but please don't miss Medora, ND, if you go. I was born on a ranch 80 miles south. So much history there, and a long running outdoor musical that should not be missed. Theordore Rossevelt National Park, full of buffalo, wild horses and prairie dogs. I had 51 first cousins and we have met for many years having reunions all over the country, just to stay connected, now that most of our parents have passed away. We are meeting there next summer in June and a few of us will bring our campers. We will be playing golf at the Bully Pulpit Golf Course. Host Fest in Minot is another idea for you and I believe it is always in September; pronounced HOOST Fest. Scandinavian festival with TONS of great music. Then, if you would want to experience a live, working ranch, my brother, who was a specialist in Equine Dentistry, still has the farm where I grew up, but he leases some of the farm land and rehabs horses who have been injured racing, at Shockapee, a race track outside of Minneapolis, where is is the head veterinarian. He has also helped start a rehab facility with horse therapy; exceptional for kids with autism, brain injuries, etc. One more plus, ND is on the way to Canada, which is a season in itself!! Calgary Stampede, Lake Louis, Banf, British Columbia...... SO GORGEOUS YOU CAN HARDLY BREATH. Or you could head west into Mountana, visit Grand Tetons/ and /or Yellowstone, then head up to Glacier....Some of the best mountain views in the country and more of great people from the Midwest!

I live in the upper Thumb of Michigan. We recently moved back to Michigan after 38 years and raising our family in Florida. The Lower Penninsula of Michigan is shaped like a mitten. So look at the top of your left hand and we're in the very tip of the thumb. I really liked your trip around Michigan and the Midwest. It gave us some great camping trip ideas. BTW I wear my KYD hat while watching your videos. I can't wait to see the big reveal in the next episode!
