The crowd is so dead. I wonder what would happen if most people just put down their phone for a second and enjoy the moment and really take in the beauty of this song for a minute
This song is an experience bro, it’s not a one you yell to. It’s one that can bring emotion and keep the audience engaged. They aren’t dead, just taking it in.
It's not necessarily going for a mosh pit. Just putting your phones down and be present and take in the music. Guarantee that those that film the entire song have the intention of just posting it in social media for validation. Nothing wrong with a few videos here and there, but these days people want to record the entire time. Many artists that work hard on their craft actually hate that. I've been to many events and raves and the best way to appreciate the artist is to be in the moment without looking through your phone screen even though you're there yourself. That's just me though 🤷♀️
I wish you would’ve been there, Anna. Kygo handed out to every attendee of the sold-out MSG show an LED light wristband that was part of the whole experience. Those are not phones. Fast forward the video to 4:20 (seriously 😂). It was innovative and immersive. Contrary to your assertion, the crowd was actually engaged, magnetic and warm. ❤ Source: a grateful drummer on stage in this video 🙏
