Not sure if it's because he doesn't have a ride yet or not but happy to see a much more relaxed Kyle Busch in times of struggle. Makes me respect him more.
Nascar has become the WWE of auto racing. Let each team run their own parts with same specs and let the best man win. Back to old school racing, run what you bring.
"Own parts with same specs" is how it was before this car. When they made their own parts, the whole point was to fudge them in teeny tiny ways to gain advantages, and the teams with the biggest budgets would spend a million dollars to design a bolt or an opening just to gain a hundredth of a second. The whole point of this new car is that everybody buys the exact same things from exact same place.
Nascar thinks the fans know more about racing and cars than teams/drivers. That’s who they listen to. People that don’t even know how to put air in their tires.
Gotta admit, it was weird to see an engine "blow" just riding around under caution. Generally, it's either RPMs or detonation that kills an engine and that shouldn't happen just idling around. When i saw this, it immediately struck me as odd.
NASCAR has turned into a CLOWN SHOW. I had already heard Logano, Buescher, Bell, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin, and others talking about it. Harvick just went to town ripping NASCAR on the big media day festivity last Friday. And when answering questions said angles had nothing to do with it. The same G level hit in the last gen car (probably safest car ever built because it dispersed the energy and saved Ryan Newman's life when he probably shouldn't have made it in that awful crash) he said was like 50 times more violent in this car. That you just absorbed the energy. And hits to rear just sent the energy right through your head. Well, look at Kurt backing into the wall at 190 in Pocono. He still has problems with the concussion symptoms and can't race. This fire issue in the car keeps coming up. It's not good. And NASCAR seems to care less about the safety of these guys. They say they car, but their actions prove otherwise.
Say what you want about Kyle Busch, but he was very calm in this interview. To those who still call him a crybaby, how was he supposed to feel? He was easily going to win, and the engine blew. Anyone in that position leading with 20 to go would rightfully be mad. It’s one thing if it happened earlier in the race, then I could understand the people who criticize him for being mad over a bad result. But had that not happened he would’ve won. So I don’t really get why some of y’all are mad at him for being mad at the engine blowing up with 20 to go. And let’s be honest here, if any of y’all had the talent and career in the Cup series like Kyle Busch has had (I’m talking about his driving ability not his personality), then y’all would be mad too. What’s he supposed to do, smile and say ah shucks? Let me ask all the KFB haters something, in life, when things don’t go your way, do y’all smile and act like it isn’t a big deal (you know the way y’all want every driver to act), or do y’all ask ignorant, cuss and are mad about it for a while? Because whether y’all want to admit it or not, y’all get mad about stuff too. So why is it so taboo for Kyle Busch to show his emotions, but when y’all do it, that’s perfectly fine in y’all’s eyes? Is it because y’all still are mad at him for wrecking Jr. and Hornaday? Is it because he’s not a quote on quote good ole boy from the South? Is it because he’s very confident and that comes off as cocky (yet when Sr. acted that way, y’all loved it)? What’s the deal? I can perfectly understand if we were still in 2008 - 2011 (the peak of Kyle Busch being public enemy number 1), but if you’re still mad at him for things he’s done 10-15 years ago, you really need to get a life. I hope those of y’all who hate him are atheists, because God (you know the deity I and most NASCAR fans worship), is willing to forgive anyone, and in my opinion, if you harp on what others have done to you or what other NASCAR drivers have done in their past and you don’t forgive them, you are not a Christian. Y’all can sit in that pew every Sunday & Wednesday and say praise the Lord, thank you for forgiving me, etc. But yet what do y’all do every week when Kyle Busch comes out for driver introductions? Y’all boo him out of the building for stuff he’s done 11-14 years ago. My suggestion for y’all would be to find the nearest psychiatrist and church and visit both weekly. You can tell me your a Christian and mentally stable all you want, but until you stop acting ignorant, until you forgive everyone (including Kyle Busch), and until you stop throwing stuff onto the track when things don’t go your way, you’re not a Christian and you’re not someone that society needs to take seriously. And by that behavior, how do y’all think that makes the respectable NASCAR fans who go to the race to interact with fans and have a good time look? It makes us look like white trash. Look I have no issue with being passionate for the sport, or if you hate a driver during a season (not over a decade) for something controversial he did. But once you start nitpicking or once you throw trash onto the track, you lost all my respect (and that goes for any Kyle Busch fan who’s ever done that too). Act by example. If you want a driver to act a certain way, you can’t turn around and act just as bad if not worse when you’re mad. Otherwise you’re a hypocrite. Period.
You don't need to write a book to defend him. There are a lot more problems with NASCAR than having to defend KB. Write a book about the downfall of NASCZAR the last 18 years instead. KB is a big boy, he can handle the criticism himself. And yes I spelled NASCZAR correctly. By the way that book you just wrote defending KB makes YOU look like the only baby here.
You’re comment was as long winded as KB. He’s only behaving because he’s trolling for a ride. If he can’t land a top tier ride he should retire on top. I guess the biggest ego is requiring the most $$$.
I find it humorous how Kyle has changed his interview style since sponsors don't want anything to do with him, but somehow he'll get a ride and for far less pay.
Quality control at the nascar mandated parts supplier is obviously non existing, At this level you expect to get a high quality part. On the other hand it wouldn't be the first time nascar has manipulated the outcome of this series. Just Ask Cousin Carl .
@@nednobody3253 The tapered spacer is just a restrictor for the air intake. TRD, Roush-Yates, and Chevrolet with Hendrick and RCR make almost everything in and on the engines. A wrong sized tapered spacer would just make more or less horsepower because of air flow change. They run the “670 HP” or “550” or whichever power level they have now for the former restrictor plate tracks. However, I will agree with your statement and apply it to the rear suspension being weak, Goodyear tires being swiss cheese, and the exhaust system being poorly designed and causing a couple fires recently.
People blame NASCAR but don’t realize that the engine package has been the same for a very long time and all that changes from year to year is the tapered spacer and restrictor plate sizes.
A blown engine can happen to any driver out there. It just seems to be the way things have gone for him this year. He has absolutely nothing to hang his head about. He's still the MAN and he'll be back!
His demeanor has completely changed. Last year he finished second to his brother at Atlanta, and was extremely rude to the media. Now, he dominates a race, was clearly going to win after his teammate blew up, and now handles the press with respect and with a much better attitude. Not really a fan of Kyle, but I am glad to see him be a little bit nicer as of late.
I think part of the difference is that this was like 45 mins after he got out of the car rather than immediately. I agree though. Seems like he’s growing up. I’ve always been a fan but I cringe at some of the stuff he does in interviews!
I can't stand this guy!! Really ... I cannot. BUT, having said that, I really was quite proud of him standing up to a microphone and speaking clearly and calmly to reporters!!
@@hanoverraised9238 He said he has multiple written contracts in front of him, which means all he has to do is choose one. And knowing Kyle Busch he’s a troll so I’m sure he’s already signed something.
@@XxDDKingxX Believe it when I see it. Getting kinda late when there aren't really any good cars that don't have a driver signed. If you think of a good car open let me know pls.
Who was that guy?? The real Kyle Busch would have said that all he gets is junk, the car sucks, and the only reason he's giving an interview is so he doesn't get fined! Will the real Kyle Busch please stand up!
I know it’s fun to shit on NASCAR and the short comings of this car…but is everyone seriously unaware of just how common engine failures have been in like the last 74 years of NASCAR lmao.
I like him when he’s a smart ass. What we don’t need is another boring monotone driver doing interviews saying the same old boring company line. Let him be pissed like he should be. Why does everyone say “ I have so much more respect for this new KB because of the way he’s doing these interviews”? Bullshit. Have some fire in your belly and let it out. Sponsors should want that instead of this politically correct BS. It’s stupid and makes for lame interviews. My daughter could spew the party line when she was 15. It’s boring and doesn’t mean anything. Listen to what Harvick said about shitty parts NASCAR is providing. What’s wrong with that? Good grief folks.
