Outstanding Interview. I could/would listen to you talk all day long. Your style in this interview is what I expected. Again, No BS. Straight Talk. Thanks. When you get ready to talk/interview again, I'll be waiting to watch and listen.
I wanted to be a Navy SEAL since the age of 8. I remember watching 9/11 on TV in school and decided I wanted to join the military at that moment to help protect my country. Once I got older (in middle school) I started training to help get my prepared. Once I started HS, I talked to a Navy recruiter and told them I wanted to be one. They got me in contact with a former SEAL that helps train people for the "Special Ops" jobs in the Navy Ie. SEAL, EOD, SWCC, etc. Anyways, I trained with this guy for 4 years HARDCORE. It was my entire high school life (that's all I did). After high school, I joined the Navy, took the SEAL PST and passed with flying colors. I signed my contract and was on my way to BUDs... 5 months in the Navy I started having seizures and was eventually kicked out... That was 7 years ago and im still depressed to this day. Thats all I ever wanted to do and all of that training I did was for nothing. I busted my ass and the military doesn't want me... My seizures are 100% controlled with medicine, but that does matter, unfortunately. Now im stuck doing bullshit jobs that i completely hate.
Thank you for your service and for sharing your story. I've always thought of Seals as being tough, determined, well trained, and selfless. I never thought about how much natural athleticism they must also have to go along with it.
Lifeguarded in SD in college and would go to some of the parties. Had some friends go in but I chose $$$. The money is gone and wish I had the memories. Hopefully my son takes my advice. Cool interview.
He was a Navy Seal, and that is all I can say, but I will tell you he is one of the most highly trained individuals on Earth, and one of the finest instructors in the business, if you get the chance take his class.
Hello.I meant no disrespect.I was just curious.I truly understand that he is one of the best in the business and served his country with honor as a patriot in one of the most elite units(SEAL Teams)in the world. That says enough!
what about the guys that werent "hot shots" in high school? i didnt play football or any sports in high school but im very athletic/ can compete against those who are "known".
Yup. Being stuck on the boat if you DOR would be a great motivator. Lol. And Make sure all of you support the brothers who suffer from PTSD after their service. 22 vets a day are lost. That is 22 too many.
I wish I didn't wear glasses. I can do most of the pt as of 20 pull-ups, 80 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 500 yard swim under 15 minutes and I shoot pretty well. I'll never be able to be a frogmen with 20/70 in my right eye.
If you don't do 20 then you hit the surf and eat your meal soaking wet which by that time nobody cares about being wet. It's the fact that your wet in front of your classmates and instructors which sucks.
SoCalFreelance Actually that's not true they do care. I think his name is Brandon Webb but he said one of his classmates were about to quit in the last week of BUD/s because of the surf torture.
