It's cool to see these coaches talking about business like this. It's a cutthroat industry, and the fact they can remenis about it and laugh makes all the behind the scenes stuff enjoyable for us as fans.

This was a podcast thru the nfl with Peter shregs they interviewed both of them bringing the whole story on how became coaches and working in Washington together this was recent tho I would say maybe last little after thanksgiving

As a Lions fan, don’t sweat it 49er fans, it was never going to happen. Holmes came from the Rams, he still believed in Goff, he was never going to take Jimmy G over Goff

The niners would have won a superbowl if they had stafford no doubt about it. The roster may of not been so deep because of the money they would have had to pay him. But he makes up for that

Perfect example of Kyle Shanahan. Passing up the opportunity on someone like Stafford just because he feels comfortable getting by with someone like Jimmy G. I’ve said this for years if Kyle knew how to actually scout QBs and had gotten ahold of either Lamar, Mahomes, Watson, Allen or Stafford he would have at least 3 rings and maybe 2 with Stafford since that was a few years later than when the others were drafted.

For what it’s worth despite what they’re saying here Stafford was probably never going to the 49ers. Goff was Brad Holmes’ guy when he was in LA and Holmes wanted to bring him to Detroit too. Even with Goff’s regression in LA at the time there’s no reason to think the Lions would go for Jimmy G
