I have a theory that the only reason the Astros won in 2022 and the only reason they lost in 2021 is Phil Maton. He's like Benedict Arnold; in 2021 everything they had a lead in the playoffs they'd put in Maton and blow the lead! Then using the "get him right back on the horse" theory and the "now he got the bad out of his system, it can't happen again" logic, he'd go right back up and blow another game! His bad luck is a bottomless pit! His broken hand punching the locker last year is proof. The moment I heard that I KNEW we were gonna win the World Series. Matons a nice kid and has flashes of brilliance but get rid of him and give more innings to guys like Abreu, Ronel Blanco, Enoli Cannolis🎉, and Ryan Stanek. Or keep Maton for games we are ALREADY losing. Keep his bad luck off the mound during wins please 😊
I'm a Mariners fan but Kyle Tucker is my favorite non-Mariner. The most relatable dude and an amazing athlete. He killed it for team USA in the WBC too. Will keep rooting for him forever (but please go easy on my Ms Tuck)
*IMHO* Brantley is one of the most underrated players in the big leagues & has always been a solid contributor with a silky smooth swing. It's poetry in motion.
I played years of baseball even against a bunch of college players. It's a whole different game seeing these pros pitch, damn they can bring it. Great big difference between 92 an 98mph, light years faster. Watching their videos is intimidating cause they throw so hard. New kid just came to the league from Tennessee I think, dude can throw 105mph I read. That is just crazy. Andres Munoz, Mariners reliever hits 103 regularly. I saw him live last year and believe it, so fast it's like he's not human. I think they're robots. I saw Griffey Jr make a throw from deep right center to the third baseman one time that definitely wasn't human. No one should have been able to make that throw but the runner already knew cause he never tried for third. The little crowd of about 8k in the Kingdome literally gasped, I swear on Thor. I was there, saw the throw an heard the crowds reaction. It wasn't human it was superhuman. Ichiro had a cannon too but not like Jr.
My boy was a minor leaguer for the red sox.. He played one at bat in mlb. He was LITERALLY- the best player from my region.. Legendary.. Bruh.. The majors are truly the best in the world... All this wbc talk cracks me up.. The level of competition in the major leagues??? Unreal-
Bro there like 20-40 something yrs old imagine how big they r n all the power they have that’s the reason y there so strong and can throw that hard n fast….
