Anyone Notice that the Ute fans are completely okay with good ol' boy Cam claiming he is going to go down to BYU and Kick Some Ass and yet for some reason get their lace panties bunched up in knots when BYU fans talk about taking it to the Utes and criticizing a coach who if BYU beats them this year will be forced to retire by same said Ute fans? They've already picked his replacement.... Isn't there a thing called self full-filled prophecy???
I find it hilarious that he can't even say "BYU". Cracks me up. Even though in his office at the U he has a BYU diploma hanging up. Haha. I think it's something he picked up from Urban Meyer just simply as a rivalry tool like putting BYU stickers in the urinals on rivalry week. I respect Coach Whitt and no matter what he does, he's a cougar and always will be.
I'll never figure out why they want to interview Whittingham. The fact that he won't address BYU by its name should give us a pretty good idea of what he thinks of the school. Let's face it--since Ron McBride, Utah hasn't had a coach that's been interested in having a relationship with BYU based on mutual respect. He managed to say some nice-sounding things in this interview, but anything he's said when asked about BYU in any other environment has not been positive.
Well.... What we know? Cam Rising's comments just made Witt's job that much more difficult. If BYU beats Utah this year after the last three long years of absolute pain and agony that the Utes have been exposed to after having lost to BYU 3 seasons ago. Witt will be jettisoned by his Fan Base. Frankly? The best thing that can happen is for BYU to send Witt into Retirement. Obviously, Utah's Administration sees the writing on the wall and have pre-emptively named a successor to Witt in the hopes of thwarting the fallout from his possible resignation. Ute fans worst nightmare is playing out in front of their eyes. BYU having beat the Utes 3 years ago with an Independent, Talentless, Lowly Non-P5 Program that only had single level depth at every position like it or not is on the rise. (Ute Fan adjectives used when describing BYU) Ute fans normal level of arrogant, woke rhetoric was stymied when BYU when 5-0 against PAC 12 teams is 2021. The same Year that BYU BEAT UTAH and the SAME YEAR UTAH won the PAC12 CHAMPIONSHIP. HMMM... THAT would almost make BYU the PAC12 CHAMPION is 2021 wouldn't it? BYU now is gaining access to more Talent as a P4/(P5) program. The recruiting of in-State Utah HS football players is showing Utah's dominance waning. What I have surmised from the information above is that the LEVEL of competition in the PAC wasn't anywhere near as good as it is in the BIG12. Proof of that statement? As I said above, BYU was undefeated against the PAC in 2021 (5-0) AND BYU beat the PAC12 Champion(UTah) that same year. Compare that year to BYU's first year in the B12. BYU got SPANKED over and over... Witt has made it clear he hates the Holy War and he hates playing BYU. He hates the drama that surrounds his life because of the Rivalry. His attempt to take a vacation from the Holy War by playing Florida for a couple years didn't work out at all like he planned. It imploded when Utah fell to BYU and then had to endure the hiatus as losers. Funny thing is? I like Witt. And I feel for Witt. This interview was all about NOT GIVING BYU ANY CHALK BOARD MATERIAL WHATSOEVER.... But Cam Rising GAVE BYU ALL IT NEEDED.... Witt has never been a friend to BYU like BYU has been to him and Utah. Utah's BIG12 membership is evidence of that fact. Utah would be sucking wind with WST and OST otherwise. Good Stuff Huh???😁😁😁
