Kylie Jenner CRIES Over Hate Comments About Her Appearance 

This is an interesting video, beauty standards have been rife since the dawn of man and every woman is a victim of it. We are all guilty of perpetuating it (Editing, surgery, giving in to the standards) but we are also punished for not giving into the standards by both women and men (Bullying) There is some blood on her hands because of the impact she had on young women via her company and broadcasting of her surgeries and though she is not at fault for doing any of it (Who wouldn't start a company and get lip filler if you had the money?) However it is extremely difficult for the public to sympathise with someone with any amount of blood on their hands. It means she's not just a victim, she's someone who's gained money from the impact of beauty standards. She is one of the people we view as perfect and that's very hard to get by. She deserves sympathy but getting it from the public would be impossible. They should know better than to broadcast her crying over beauty standards because she's at the top of the food chain. The sad thing is, even skinny girls cry about being skinny, even beautiful girls cry about being beautiful. That's what we're dealing with here, we're seeing that in action and that's where a fraction of this anger is coming from. 'How can you cry about this, you're perfect!?' In regards to whether or not we should enjoy these things, we enjoy it because it's deeply engrained in us to feel satisfaction from looking better than we did before, it is sad that we enjoy it but it will never change. In an ideal would becoming closer to beauty standards wouldn't feel amazing but instead it would feel useless, shameful, a waste of time, boring but unfortunately it never will. We have been manufactured via media, marketing and social reward to enjoy it and that's why we do. I enjoy it because it relieves me from the possibility that I am becoming ugly.

There are plenty of celebrities who don't use social media including Rob Kardashian. Kylie swiftly left social media when she was pregnant with Stormi and she herself said she knew social media was going to affect her. However, she is back on social media and crying about being on social media? She can hire a manager and explicitly tell them "don't tell me the hate comments." This is a luxury many others who actually dependent on Instagram don't have, such as small business owners. I mean, the Kardashians literally have all the resources in the world to not only alter their appearance but to also be the healthiest they can be both physically and mentally. If Kylie wanted to get therapy, leave the social scene, go to college, become a legitimate business owner, invest her riches to work minimal hours and spend time with her kids and developing hobbies, SHE COULD. I cannot feel sorry for someone complaining about their own toxic behavior and actively choosing to not do anything about it.

So! Instead of being authentic and pushing back against that, they decided to perpetuate it and ruin young girls’ minds WHILE bullying many women? I was bullied in school for not wearing makeup and only wearing my luscious curly hair. I worked on my psyche. I made sure I didn’t let that break me and I continued to be me. Went on to be an Attorney. I feel no sympathy whatsoever 🚶🏽‍♀️

Well, it is strange that she is acting like that now after losing popularity because of the bad launching of her products. I agree with most of your opinion, but I believe that she made profit with her figure in society and reaffirmed the foundations of beauty standards to aggravate them even more. It must be taken into account that since she has been in the public eye, she has only provided solutions that were related to insecurities, as well as makeup products or clothing items aimed at women with a specific type of figure (such as with her bikinis). It would be interesting to know if this victimism is only a marketing move because of her unsuccess launchings or if it is real. It would have been more interesting to have seen how he used his power to influence the masses to end beauty standards, instead of promoting insecurities so that girls saw in her products a solution to their supposed ugliness, and made her rich by buying her beauty products. Every influencer should be aware of the power that they have and not promoting things to be more rich.
