This song by Kylie Minogue would be perfect on the playlist, Empress. It won't be long before Baby Empress is talking. At the beginning of the video she sure sounded/looked like she's ready. "Tension", the second single from the album by the same title, lyrically speaks of sexual connection however the music video is a coded story saying she is the only and real Kylie in media while the others are copycats, hench the "Call me Kylie/Don't imitate" line. It took feel several views of the music video to get the message it was sending to her audiences of "Lovers", her fans, in contrast to the lyrical story told. She worked mainly with her favourite, long long time team of collaborators, proving, there is plenty of imaginative still between them. I love it!

Empress it’s Kylie week the album out on Friday I can’t wait

She’s working mainly with her long time collaborator biff stanard (think 7 out of 11 album tracks) she wrote this with biff, duck and kamille who is super cool artist. Kylie always mixes up her sound with every record. Last 3 we’re country, disco and now club dance. She likes to keep us on our toes

Love the song. It's a grower too! I like how the video makes it seem like she's getting "down there" by herself, which is different from just the song by itself.

Tension is also the title of the album and it's being released on the 22nd of September. Kylie worked with Biff Stannard and Duck Blackwell for a lot of the songs on Tension, she has worked with Biff since 1999. A singer called Kamille co-wrote Tension last summer with Kylie, she posted a behind the scenes on tiktok during the weekend :)

The black look is her going through her dark phase, pink is her bubblegum pop era, the yellow is her showgirl 2006 era, the lalala is from "cant get you ot of my head", the bridge is from Disco and at the end when she is grabbing her ass references to spinng around when the world was infatuated with those gold sequin pants. And I live for it. ❤ There is speculation that she did this album as a final 'nod', going back to her roots, and this will be her final pop album.
