As much as I appreciate the slow motion closeup clip of Kylo swinging his lightsaber, the other slow-motion shot of Luke doing a dodge seems a little too 'The Matrix' for my liking.
Here I simply removed the 'slowed clips' and combined the duplicate shots to make seamless shots.

Killing luke skywalker was the worst decision ever. Rian Johnson screwed up big in that department.

Agreed. He shouldn’t have faded away at the end. Other than that, I really like TLJ. It’s not perfect, but neither is the rest of Star Wars.

Whoa that looks better. The Slow Mo looked out of place and doesn't really belong in a Star Wars film. Especially during a fight scene.

Such an incredible scene. Rian Johnson understood Luke Skywalker. Using his high level force powers non-violently to sacrifice himself and allow the Resistance to survive in such an ingenious way is EXACTLY what Luke would do.

@@grahamhill676It is tho. Throughout the movie Luke learned his lesson and grew even more so he could come back and do this final cool thing to save the resistance and shit. It’s a character arc 😭

@Rad0115 So Luke would literally sacrifice himself to electrocution death for his principals, and to save the soul of his space fascist, childkilling father but he cowers away from everyone he ever knew to live an island because he was sad about almost asassinating his nephew? Bro wtf are you talking about? What part of that sounds like Luke, or even character development? And then when he does *eventually* come back, he force skypes his nephew and dies. Wow go luke. He spent more time on the island fishing and milking space cows than he was a Jedi of the OT. Hell, he spent more years on the island than his age in RoTJ. Think about that.
