You love those extra combats my boy lol

By reading the cards it seems it would work well... What's the catch?

​@theblart7535 Since most extra combat spells say "after this main phase...", they don't add any new phases if cast outside of the main phase

@@drboolin TRUE trying to proc off kylox's effect won't work. however in we still have a few options, Karlach fury of avernus, moraug fury of akoum, and combat celebrant will be good beatsticks that grant more combat phases and of course you can get aggravated assault on board, it will work too. the big problem is the sacrifice engine isn't really... great. you miss out on casting things like crackle with power if you exile into them since casting them for free does nothing, the deck techs that let you go infinite with such spells work in most izzet decks. It's a cool commander, but what it's good at other izzet decks do better in more streamlined ways. your best bet is to hope you proc off multiple "take another turn" spells, get a big board and wipe everyone out, or storm off. it's a little RNG on top of RNG.

I thought about throwing this in ovika but it's already so good. I've probably played around 15 - 20 games with it since it came out and have only lost 2 of them.

Yeah Ovika is another card with ward 3 pay 3 life and its hilarious when people Target it just to get countered anyway

I anticipate "this spell can't be countered" to be printed on a lot of cards in the near future.

@decktechsfordecks it's not a complete nonbo, you could draw them and cast normally for good value (though unlikely you have mana on the same turn as casting commander). They'll also trigger your magecraft stuff Seize the Day at least bins itself for flashback, and you can use past in flames on the others after they get binned This guy is tricky for sure

I traded them for extra turns and now he’s Izzet Narset haha
