Enjoy this, the my favourite budget spell slinger deck. Full deck list available here - archidekt.com/decks/7667132/e... #magicthegathering #commander #edh
i play him as Commander and i use equipments to tap for mana, to cast buff and protection spells, while swinging for big dmg. (attracions are also artifacts and legal in commander) big thx for the ideas got a few new cards for the deck now. Appreceate it
Dude, the quality of this video is so insane i would never have guessed you only had 34 subscribers, 35 now with me :D Keep it up man, you gonna get really far
Great brew! Galazeth also makes an amazing "oops, no lands" commander using only cheap artifacts and MDFCs. I have a list I never fully realised beyond goldfishing, despite my mono white and selesnya origins I've wound up with entirely too many izzet and grixis decks to justify building another one in paper 💀
Haha, I know that sentiment. Yeah Galazeth is a lot of fun. Given your Selesnya Origins, you should go watch my John Benton video if you haven't already
Seems like a cool deck. My only concerns are that it seems heavily reliant on the commander and has very little board presence. Do you have to wait to deploy galazeth until you have counterspell backup? Could you fit in more traditional ritual spells like mana geyser to decrease the cmdr dependency?
Typically, yes, I like to have a counter up when I play Galazeth. There are a bunch of them in the deck, so that's actually quite achievable. The deck is very explosive the moment Galazeth is played, so in a worst case where he's killed, because you have all the artifacts, you can just play him again and still cast a bunch of spells immediately. I personally wouldn't want to add Geyser as it dilutes the deck's personality, and I don't think it will strengthen it. Out of 10 or so games, I've never had a time when my game has stalled because my commander's been blocked out of the game.
@@BasedDeckDept Ah appreciate the additional insight. Galazeth is unique in the fact that when you play him he immediately gets access to additional mana to help defend himself. I've seen too many decks in my playgroup which fold w/o their commander. For instance my friend made brewed a deck around the new obeka that grants additional upkeeps, but if you just keep her off the field or disallow the dmg trigger, the rest of the deck is a pile of lackluster enchantments.
@@Jwhiz24 Yeah I know exactly what you mean about decks like Obeka. This is definitely different. Partly because a lot of the cards that fill the "useless enchantments" are card draw or useful cards. I care a lot about synergy and a very greedy player/ deck builder so hate dead draws or decks that don't operate without their commander, or fail to plan to protect said commander. If you're able, do a bit of gold fishing on archidekt or moxfield and you'll see what I mean.
