Great video man!! I've seen others take off half of the bikes plastics to do this and I was thinking, there's gotta be an easier way, and you did it! I want an AK 550 so bad! I can't find a Black one anywhere near me in SW FLA. I have a 2007 Yamaha Majesty YP400 & a 2014 Honda CTX700 DCT that I am gonna sell to get an AK 550. Great vid, keep'em coming!
Just coming up to my 20000km service, due to the horrendous costs of getting the dealer to do it $1400 in parts alone from the dealer without labour, I'll be doing it all myself, sourced all the parts myself for $600 of which the drive belt was the dearest component.
That's in part two, you can reach the filter via the right hand (as if you where sitting on it) side. The under body plastic pan has a cut away allowing you access to the filter. But just barely. You'll definitely need an oil wrench!
@@NomadCF This is part 2 and you already had the plastic part hanging down but never showed how you did that....and also....you state here that there is a notch in the plastic pan which allows you to get to the filter....but it is obvious you loosened and dropped down that pan under the bike.....come on man......
Where is the best place to get the oil filters? Also what kind of oil? We cant find anyone in michigan to service our kymco scooters so we have to do the oil changes ourselves. Wanna get the right parts
Plan ahead and buy it online. Full flow type filter is recommended per service manual. Hiflo Filtro 164 is what it comes with and what I've read people prefer. Avail on Amaz $14.30 right now.
