Glenn Dykstra , i just wanted to let you know , i did what you said on the video, your so right buddy , it worked i saved $400, it only cost me $50. thank you
James Roberson No I haven't had any problems. Still running strong. But with the bigger jet I did notice a warmer exhaust pipe. More gas= more heat. I'm using a synthetic oil Amsoil high performance 2 cycle injector oil. The exhaust things you remove are there to limit flow to reduce performance. It keeps the performance down to meet import requirements. With a less restrictive exhaust it should run cooler.
Glenn Dykstra What else would you suggest on making it a bit faster? Does the 82 jet make anymore top speed i get 40 mph on a flat close to 45 down a hill.
Hi James Roberson glad the video was helpful. A slightly bigger jet might help a little. I had put the jet in before the exhaust mod. So I'm not sure. The problem with bigger jets means a reduction in fuel economy. With only a 1 gallon tank it could become a hassle to constantly have to fuel up. I'm happy with the balance of power vs fuel so I stopped modifying. There are ways to increase acceleration and top end by upgrading variator and clutch parts.
Your welcome! I should have mentioned that one of my reasons I didn't buy an after market performance exhaust was because they are louder. And I didn't want that. Good luck!
