kyosho has a hit with both these ready set madvans. one of the best features it has is the beefy slipper clutch, smart companies keep using them. kyosho now needs a 5th scale brushless madvan. well made video.

Not sure how it is nowadays, but I remember few years back looking at getting a Kyosho 2WD race buggy, and trying to get the parts here in UK was horrible, and it was same about 15 years ago when I bought a Kyosho 8th scale nitro on road car couldn't get parts then either, one thing I will say tho I didn't realize how many brands Horizon Hobby handles now in USA, they've certainly created a nice monopoly for themselves
Us companies went out of business because of developing countries status that is exploited by the communist chinese, who hacked and bought their way through almost every patent and design, now almost no rc parts are made without china's ownership, and they use other countries to do the manufacturing for cheaper, then take the cut, and much of the money goes into expanding their military (such as the dozens of new icbm silo's with our locations within the gps waypoints that are preprogrammed, and can't be cancelled once fired. Meanwhile Biden is making every solitary thing worse in this country, hiding everything and "leading from behind" like Biden used to do with obama for a decade, he's back, and hunter biden is still being sent out to "blow art" or get diamonds under your pillow from people with direct connections to the top of the CCP. In other words: Our government turned into one big lebron james obama joke who spied on americans, which is a war crime according to the constitution.
i got rid of all of my smaller rc's and now i don't have a place to really enjoy my big rigs, so this will definitely be a smaller one i have to add to the fleet
Wow alot comments, popular suca, I bought myself, I stripped pinion, didn't realize though because I stopped immediately, back and forth went through the diff ,clutch I did find no oil in diffs and only little grease all pushed to the side. The diff only has one internal shaft " 2 gears ⚙ instead of 4 we can add the 2 gears, sorry I forgot the proper name , not the sun gears the other ones. Just food for thought . Yea im not sure its for everyone with way parts are today , I wasn't looking to bash mine that hard more for a collection . Least you have 2 , can't you call kyosho what horizon say I wasn't listening 😆 .take diff apart put oil in you see . What I mean lil cheesy pinching the quarter to eagle screams

Loved the video. The part where you got ONLINE and showed people the truth was the best part! In Kyosho's defense, this is possibly the worst time in history to depend on shipping.
Traxxas: we did so many upgrades we now charge 699.95$. For the brushless mad van original mad van was 299.95$. Pls get the brushless. 🤣😆😂 sorry for this comment. With amount of upgrades u mentioned they did made me think of traxxas who inflates prices ebcause of a new center diff, tires and body(cough cough hoss)
This van is the biggest piece of crap I ve ever owned!” Great fun to drive when you re not waiting for parts. I bought mine in June this year and so far I ve replaced the whole of the drive train and suspension arms at a cost of over £200,not because I wanted to,I HAD to!” Seems to me like they ve put a brushless system in a brushed van and the rest of the car can t take the power. Took weeks to get parts and when I complained to kyosho Europe I just got fobbed off but the admitted there were issues with the drivetrain that they have now rectified. Stripped pinion,stripped spur,stripped wheel cups all round,drive shafts popping out every time I hit a bump. First and last kyosho for me. Great video buddy,glad someone took the time to point these things out.
pretty sad isn't it, i grew up on kyosho, when i was young i was even sponsored on a kyosho, they made good cars back then so when i shelled out $350 for a brushless mad van i wasn't concerned then i received it and the second i pulled of the body for the first time i saw all the potential problems and threw it back in the box, i tried for over a month to get my money back but finally gave up and went ahead and threw a pack in it and started running it and just like i knew would happen on my 6th pack somethings coming apart in the driveline, sounds like it's probably the plastic drive cups. i've never even jump the car, i just run oval track and it still broke, kyosho really let us down...
Akihabara. There should be about half a dozen stores on the main drag, on Sundays, that have these stacked 2 meters high. Also, put down the Corona, and try an Orion, from Okinawa. Trust me.
The parts situation is the reason i got two of them! :-P Getting parts is not so much a problem here in Germany, but you can´t buy them anywhere and also some of them are on backorder.
Just my opinion but this van is still new, so what's the difference between arrma back order and kyosho? We all take the chance with new rigs. And u yourself said, it's a great platform and a good product, I'm willing to guess that since parts are interchangeable that the brshed people bought the upgrades as well To convert. Also it's all coming from a extremely difficult side of the world to ship to and from, but really from
If they're still being manufactured in JP, they're on a lockdown. Stock was hard enough to get before that. My MV is still on back order. Be thankful you even got to hold one. :(

I am gonna be fully honest. I have seen other vids on this mad van unboxing and stuff, but this just is not on the same level. 😕. ITS ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL!🤯🤯 By far the best unboxing of the mad van ve on social media RIGHT NOW. Nothing against other unboxing vids of this, but your 35 min video of just talking about this, and showing parts and side to side comparisons, was more interesting than the quick 5 min unboxing vids I seen on this. 😝 (And I like shorter vids 😂) Part support plays a huge factor when buying a car. At least for me. I get that some parts go in back order, which is fine, but Kyosho parts have been on back order for too long. And I am just as lost as you with the whole horizon 💩. Doesn’t make sense that they would sell the car, just not parts. 😂. (That kraton 8s box is looking sweet. 😆😆)

Terrible video. The reason why parts availability was scarce was because of the pandemic, and this affected EVERY RC manufacturer, not just Kyosho. I couldn't get certain Arrma parts for 6 months at a time last year, the only brand who still had parts in stock anywhere was Traxxas, and only on eBay. Anyways it's Aug 2022 now and there's tons of Mad Van parts availability everywhere.
