As an American tourist that was in Nishiki Market two weeks ago, I would also recommend the chiffon cake sold there. I can't remember the name of the store, but it was the only one specifically selling chiffon cakes made from rice flour. I couldn't try most of the foods in the market due to food allergies, but the chiffon cake was a complete surprise find and really delicious! They had regular (vanilla?) as well as matcha and strawberry. It was like eating a strawberry cloud. ❤ 🍓
This is an incredible list of restaurants. I wish I'd seen this before my trip in January. We were in Japan for nearly 6 weeks and I'm already planning the next trip.
Thank you! Most of the shops in Nishiki Market tend to close around 6 PM. Check out the Google Maps link in the description box of this video for the operating hours of the shops featured :)
Do you mean that when we arrive in Japan, we just open the Google Map link, then it will help to take us to the destinations? I have never tried that. Thank you for all the hard work.
Unfortunately, you are unable to eat and walk. You’d have to post up by the stall you purchase your food at. I was a little bummed by it but understood that it was just due to wanting to reduce the risk of trash.
