So many things to do in Kyoto! We went on a Geisha walking tour and spotted real life Geishas on the streets! Then we got to meet a real one! We also ate the best food (oldest restaurant in Kyoto!!), visited temples, and shopped.
Yeah, it was the 2nd and 3rd week of November. The leaves are very different across Japan, so not all leaves turn at the same time since the climates vary. If you watch one of our other videos about Mt. Fuji/samurai experience, the leaves there are VERY red.

That’s a little misleading. The residents have complained about over tourism for decades. The new law restricting tourists from entering certain neighborhoods has more to do with recent tourist’s behavior towards the maiko & geiko.
The Japanese people put on tours of the district, so implying they all want tourists to leave would be hard to believe. I think Brian is right, it’s more because of tourist behavior towards the maiko and geiko while they’re working
