Hi Sam, appreciated your genuine review for the fish cake :-) Waiting for you and Audrey, exploring the landscape of Kyoto! Such a wonderful old world charm brimming in Kyoto!
Hi Sam and Audrey Just returned from our 2 month Europe trip ...Very tired now I am so excited to see the continuation of your videos where I left off...great video of the Kyoto Market.....I see Sam went to Korea in your latest videos..now you will see again my comments
Gracias por mostrarnos tantos lugares de comidas, sé que si voy a Japón no moriré de hambre solo tengo que buscar un seven, restaurante o salir a la calle 😁. Me encantan sus videos los veo en inglés y español. Saludos 🙋♀️
You guys are making me super excited for Japan next year! I've been before but hopped around too much. This time I'm staying put in Tokyo for 2 weeks and going from there. And YES to soy milk donuts! Happy travels.
I absolutely love your videos, in particular the street food ones they’re always fascinating and you are both so very honest. That calamari was def too chewy lol 🙈 wow I loved this video, that crepe dessert 😍😍
Hi Sam & Audrey! I just came back from my trip to Japan and while riding the rain i saw Audrey in the promotional video for Japan Tourism. I felt so happy and proud! Hope to see you when you visit Philippines! :) take care!
Within the price range the item you get can be so totally random. That one cheese fish bamboo shaped stick vs a whole crepe. I mean right? Thanks for trying them out so next time I know what to get. Cheers!
For those who like sake... there is a sake shop along the market that has a huge selection including their in house sake which is kept in a barrel with a tap ready to serve
Hi Audrey & Sam. I enjoy all your videos. Wouldn't miss them for the world. Food looked good. You make everything look so yummy. I'm having pizza and hot peppers with creme cheese. Well take care and see you in the next one. From Bethlehem Pa.
this place is on my to-do list for next week because the last time I was there I went to early and several the shops were closed. I definitely want to try the sushi skewers and those soy donuts.
Totally off topic for a great video. I only found you this year so am doing a lot of catching up and the choice can be real random so am watching this and thinking that I would love your take on Paris, Lyon and other parts of France. I can relate more to you two so would love to hear your take on that area. I didn’t find these areas on your archives and wonder if that is on your list of places to go. Thanks for any response and sorry for the random question from your Kyoto video.
Hi guys, love your content ! Looks like it's very hot in Kyoto currently. What's the "real feel' temperature currently ? Is it comparable to the heat in some southern European countries in the summer ? I'm asking because I'm planning to go to Japan somewhere in the next 1 to 4 months, and I really can't stand too much heat.
A lot of the shops in Nishiki market are going out of business because sales are very low.The regular shoppers are tired of the overcrowded street and started shopping elsewhere. The butchers, fishmongers and pickled vegetable stores are losing sales because the tourist don't buy staples to take home and cook and only buy the finger foods and eat the samples.
And the Japanese, who do buy those staples, avoid Nishiski and the hordes of tourists. Also, our taxi drivers were telling us that, with all the foreigners, shoplifting has become a serious problem.
You guys are mean! You kept teasing the viewers throughout the whole episode...Mentioning sea urchin, lightly pickled cucumbers, octopus stuffed with quail egg...and you never tried it 😭 So mean 😝
Just returned from a week in Japan, which included a day in Kyoto (Gion, Teramachi, Nishiki). Sadly, those places were so overrun with hordes of rude, loud, ill-mannered tourists that the experience was completely ruined. Kyoto is a beautiful city, but the overwhelming abundance of crass foreigners (especially those from one particular large Asian nation) who have no respect for Japanese culture made going there really unpleasant. Because we're of Japanese descent and speak the language, our taxi drivers were very forthcoming with their opinions about the problem. They are disgusted by it all, as are most other Japanese (very few of them go to these spots), but what can one do? But Sam and Audrey, just by their not eating while walking (at least on video), appear to understand the rules of public behavior in Japan, which is a welcome change from what we actually experienced. If you're thinking of visiting Japan, don't add to the problem -- educate yourself first.
