^ anime in a nutshell.
granted, houseki no kuni was a lot better than i expected. initially i thought it was just another excuse to have cute girls doing cute things, but i ended up giving it a shot both because the opening animation was so lovely and because i couldn't understand what the heck these lyrics meant. and once i did i found that i really enjoyed the worldbuilding that the show had to offer.
anyway anime blogger mode aside, these lyrics started making more sense after I watched the show. for example, a lot of the imagery about "pieces" and "particles forgetting" fit with how the gems operate. and to me this song makes most sense from cinnabar's perspective, what with the whole "wandering through the night" & dreams being the only thing connecting them to here.
also, these lyrics were hard as heck to write. it doesn't help that there are so many intermittent gaps in the melody, or that each melodic phrase is so fricking long. i nearly tore my hair out HAHA.
and ok i know i've rambled on for a while (these descriptions just keep getting longer and longer), but i'm back at school! unfortunately this does mean that weekly uploads probably aren't going to happen anymore, but i hope to stick to a biweekly schedule, and a monthly one at the very least. it's been a good summer yall, and as always thank you for all your support!!
