Being able to observe the best Kyudoka in such detail and in so many angles is a priceless treassure! How they construct their tenouchi and how it works throughout the shot, the path of their elbows during hiwiwake, and so on... It is even possible to observe their respective breathing patterns! Thank you very muc for this incredible gift.
Kyudo is a form of meditation. As such youth does not give you a great advantage. In the contrary, traits which are typically associated with youth such as impatience, ambition and restlessness will negatively affect your technique.
Merci beaucoup 🙏
this looks really cool but wed be in trouble if they were defending a siege. a volley of one arrow every 2-3 mins? better hope our walls are tall and thick.
don't forget that Kyudo is more meditation than archery. As far as I understand (I'm not an expert, I never had the opportunity to practice Kyudo ... quite rare in the UK) archery is in a way just the means of fascillitating this meditation. Firing the bow is just one of the stages of what is in effect a meditative ritual.
@@PoonDestruction neither are they being judged on how long they take to fire an arrow. Because of the way these competitions are judged there are many Kyodoka which refuse to compete altogether. Additionally the gradings on the other hand are mostly consumed with technique. You can hit every time and still fail your grading ... in particular true for the higher Dan gradings.
They are not shooting to kill the enemy they are shooting to see how good there technic is, In Kyudo there is a maxim "Good Hitting is not Good Shooting, Good Shooting is Good Hitting", if your technic is good and you do not get in the way you will hit the Mato.
