I remember this one time I took a heroic dose of mushrooms and listened to Sky Valley and Blues for the Red Sun in one go. When I closed my eyes, what I saw was pretty much exactly what's in this video.
Don't know why but kyuss fits so well with nature it's like music of the universe it can be beautiful sometimes and can be so much agresive at others ...........epic shit
Stanley Street both moments are glorious!! the two big thumps at 44 make you turn your head, by the time 1:26 rolls around you're the king of the dancefloor
I'm sorry, I planned on pasting a personnel experience of mine about Kyuss, but it's too long for a text comment. I will have a video response prepared within a week. Kyuss fans are the best around. Sincerely, David
When Kyuss Lives came to toronto I was front row dying for this song...they left stage..came back for the encore and started with this. I was the only person really freaking out about it but this is probably my favourite kyuss song..maybe a tie with spaceship landing
Kyuss is the best rock band to have ever walked the Earth !!! This song reminds me of their roots Black Sabbath. But imho this song is better than Black Sabbath. I mean no disrespect, but for me Kyuss perfected the Black Sabbath sound. Please come back Kyuss, WE LOVE YOU !!!
Does anyone think Kyuss and related bands fits with nature?, not just the song titles but the understanding and the following, ppl who like kyuss (not all) would be into say fishing, camping the outdoors... its an expression of freedom from confines of city or built up area, lets face it you cant crank up tunes in an apartment or terraced house now can ya... hence the desert or a place u can enjoy at full volume.. only a thought!!!
:-) nice. I have a copy of the tome as well, but good to put up the info. You miss the point though that Kyusss is/was an evil high priest, who creates "sons of kyuss" as his monions. As I see it we - the fans -, are then supposed to be the "sons of kyuss". Good story :-)
I just wanna say how much I love this video! Now obviously I'm a huge fan of Kyuss, but this video really captures how Molten Universe makes me feel. Very well-selected clips edited together with care and skill!
this song should always precede 50 million year trip.. always.. otherwise, i feel I feel the band has arose my excitement, without beddin' it back down.
It's the name of a group of characters in 1st Edition Dungeons & Dragons. It was originally "(The) Sons of Kyuss" for the band, and that's the proper name for the group in 1st Ed D&D :-)
i would disagree, to any comparison to black sabbath and kyuss. yes its a big influence on them but they took it along with other bands they liked and ran the other way with it. theres no band quite like kyuss, and theres very few bands that are as influential as black sabbath.
sounds like guts being being dragged though some cactuses and thrown into the air to get eaten by buzzards then the buzzards get hit by a passing airplane being piloted by a depressed, inebriated, psychotic stoner, then he crashes then goes to hell ---- I love this fucking song (Kyuss melts brains!)
Im always in awe of your video to that Kyuss song FUzzjunky!! It always reminds me of New Zealand and David attenboroughs trials of life!!! Savage cabbage!!! Have to get making something for a few tunes now over this summer!!! did you use windows movie maker or a better package?!! All i got is win movie maker so gonna make do!!!
