Hey Mate ! I'm pretty much confused between kz castor and tangzu waner... So can you pls recommend one among these ( i listen to all kinds of music but preferably hip-hop , Rock and Rnb mostly )
I'm getting the Waner studio edition soon. I'll do a comparison. But for now, even if you had the Castor, you wouldn't be disappointed for those music genres.
Bro @1:07 you are using bass down n highs up, actually this castor bass version is supposed to be used in UUDD ie 1up 2up 3down 4down that is the bass head config. Also invest in a Dac as I saw ur comment, a Dac just gives so much life into the iem.
I have it with me right now. It's so good! I would say go for the Waner S.G overall. But I didn't like the stock cable that came in the box. The Castor has better cables, but the Waner is better overall. Pleasant to listen to.
Well, it depends on what you want. A regular pair of headphones will likely be more comfortable for long gaming sessions, but IEMs generally have better voice clarity and soundstage, especially under a limited budget. I use both for varying occasions, but if I had to pick, it'll be IEMs for me.
@@v1v9k i have tried QKZxHBB and 7hz salnotes zero. its actually hard to recommend an IEM because different people have different taste. according to my understanding QKZxHBB is for bass lovers and salnotes zero is for neutral sounding. it depends upon the type of music you listen to. there are lots of other good iems too
If you mean, choosing between truly wireless earphones and IEMs, they both serve different purposes. If you like listening to music on the go without the inconvenience of a cable between your head and the phone, a TWS is an obvious choice. But if you want a clear, more detailed sound output, IEMs are better.
A TWS would likely be more durable since it doesn't have any physical connection to wear out. The only thing to fail first in a TWS would be the battery.
Dude you are there when im confused, how did u know i was searching for this review 😮 And i was really curious about the hardware tuning i havent used any iem and wanna buy em and Castor is on a sale also there's a bunch in sale and im confused kz castor/kz edx 1dd/kz edx pro/kz edx pro x/ kz lafitear lm4 /kz zsn i need a allrounder for gaming music and movies others suggested saltanos zero but its costly,so is castor an all-rounder?
I'm positive that this is better than the ZSN and based EDX series. Not sure about the pro versions though. But I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one. It's available for ₹1450 on concept kart. conceptkart.com/4rwz6j
Which one is the way to go..... Tangzu Wan'er or Kz Castor improved bass or Moondrop chu 2 or Kz Zex or 7hz salnotes 2.... I am a bass head but don't want to lack clarity..I like to listen to songs like Hills by Weeknd..... If you have any other suggestions..I would love to listen to them.
I'd say the Waner classic takes a win here overall. The castor has better top-end, but Waner has better saturation overall. Something to note - the Waner studio edition has lesser bass than classic.
Which is best iem under 2000rs , i want it just for listening music, i like bass also i want clear music too, no gaming just music as i already have bose headphone.
Castor bass boosted edition vs Salnotes 7hz zero 2 which one would you suggest for gaming and song listening? And for long run too and good quality too
I would prefer the Castor. The zero 2 has much better mid range, but the remaining features are a bit of a let down. They're both good overall, but I personally would pick the Castor
@@TheHopelessGeek thanks alot brother sorry to disturb you but one last question i want to ask you cuz im curious like can i tune and improve gaming performance of castor? Like im a newbie and i don’t know much details but as you mentioned we can boost a specific part like mids, lows or highs so can i adjust and boost something to improve gaming performance? Like for footsteps and directions of gunfire?
The Waner studio is flatter and overall more pleasant. But it won't have much saturation in bass. The Waner classic would be better for that. Personally, I find the Moondrop CHU 2 to be more pleasant, but they're slightly more expensive.
@@bhanudobwal4578 i have problem with my current dac bcz seem like it doesn't have enough power for KZ castor (bass sounds not as strong as when i plug it in my laptop/pc). I guess bcz my dac doesn't have amplifier chip 🤷
i regularly listen to songs with deatils.. like The Weeknd music..i want great details with a deep bass..so can u prefer me a good iem?.. i have a zsn pro x rn.. but it has no bass at all.. will the castor normal version be better than zsn pro x?..can anyone recommend me a good iem or anything pls..
Usually IEMs don't have the overwhelming bass as regular earphones. They're made for an equalised representation of all frequencies. You could try something like the Crinacle Zero or Tangzu Waner for elevated bass.
Hey i am really confused between the tangzu wan'er sg, kz castor , moondrop chu 2 and blon blo 3 (these are the ones i saw other recommendations will be helpful too) i listen to a lot of grunge rock, pink floyd and trap rap like future and enjoy thumping bass but not at the cost of vocals especially high pitched vocals as i have strated to listen to a lot of soul
The Chu 2 would be overall nicer. It's the one with the most bass and decent top end. The Castor has better top end, making it better for gaming, but the Moondrop CHU 2 is good for bass without compromising vocals.
@@TheHopelessGeek thank you for the quick reply! Can these be used while travelling as I have seen a concerning amount of reviews about all the four having poor build quality
There's one from Truthear called the Truthear x Crinacle Zero. It has good bass response. conceptkart.com/aznh5q You can then use an equaliser and raise the left side of the curve for bass and sub-bass.
I assume you already have a DAC-AMP setup. Is there a reason you specifically want IEMs around 40K? I suggest open back headphones for a better experience for the price. Something like the HiFiMAN - Edition XS would be great. You can find it for cheap from headphonezone
@@TheHopelessGeek can you please explain why? I am new to this things and i really wanna hear hq music (You have any other suggestions? my budget is around 2-3k) :P
I suggested the CHU 2 because it has good details with satisfactory bass. For those who want treble above all, for gaming and such, the KZ Castor would do better. It has lots of top end sharpness, which makes it great for that.
@@TheHopelessGeek I like treble but i dont want to game on and also i would like to hear the sound as the artist intended it to being heard! I think chu 2 might be the one right?
Hm.. overall, for the wearing comfort and the warmth, I'll still use the BL03. But the castor has much nicer top end, which makes it perform better for gaming - not something that I do.😅
There are many good options now. Aside from this Castor, there's the Salnotes Zero, and sometimes the Blon BL03 is available. I currently still use the BL03 most of the time due to its comfort.
Bro pls need ur suggestion. . Kz zsn pro 2 and kz castor / moondrop chu 2 / 7 hz salnotes zero / fiio jd1.. Which is best bro.. For treble and concert like soundstaging like Sennheiser.. Please
They're identical. The zero 2 may have slightly better mid range. But I think the zero comes with a type c connector, making it easier to use with a phone without a dongle
I have the same. Can you tell me about the difference the dac/dongle make in these iems? I thought about buying those 800-1000 but didn't as iems itself is 1700(seemed like a waste of money)
Those dongles often have a slightly better quality DACs for better audio output. For high end flagship phones, it's about the same. But it can help low end devices. Here's a decent one I use. amzn.to/3LosqRg
I have 0 knowledge of iem and I have Samsung buds 2 pro with s23 and apple music, do they sound any batter then this cambo, and yes if there are iem which sound batter then this combo then which iem is batter under 2k my requirements are good base and Cristal clear instruments separation
An IEM combined with Apple music lossless will be a good experience, noticeably better clarity than what you're probably used to. Aside from KZ Castor, the Tangzu Waner is a good choice. Alternatively, you can consider the Moondrop CHU 2 DSP. conceptkart.com/lklmkn
Bro i need a iem which sounds actually good quality..even if the bass isn't good i could adjust with a good clarity iem...soundstge,non fatigu..... Im confused Blon 03 7hz zero 2 Castor bass HeadfonX tangzu wanersg Which one is the good sounding
I've tried the first three. I'm getting the Waner in a few days to test. Between the three, I prefer the sound from the KZ castor but the comfort of the BL03. The mid range is excellent on the zero 2, so it's great for gaming and some music genres. Overall, I'd go for the Castor. Again, not sure about the Waner yet.
Well, there's the economy of scale. Buyers tend to get diminishing returns the more they spend for improved versions. This one is spectacular value for money. But the shure ones, while being undoubtedly better, won't give the same multiplied result as the price.😅
Oh, that's easy. First look at the left (L) and right (R) indications. Then, match the hook shape to the ear. The ending should be in the front and the remaining cable should run behind your ear. That's the right orientation.
These don't have the best bass response I've seen. I'm happy with their clarity and mid range, but for hip hop, maybe the Tangzu one you mentioned would be better.
@@Gadgetibles I don't really know if I like more bass. I'm a beginner and I listen to hip-hop and rnb like you. I never tried iems before I just want to experience a detailed sound signature.
@@qbing. Castor bass will still be ur best bet if you on a budget and can only get one becos u can use the switch to tune it down if the bass is much ...but if you can afford 2 you can get the waner or 7hz zero 2 so you can decide your kind of sound signature
This KZ Castor is available for ₹1450 on concept kart. That's why I said it's budget. 🙂 You can check that link in the description. (It may be sold out at the moment though)
I have an kz castor i have an issue with it while playing game i hear the enimies from the left bt the enimies are on right i want an fix can u tell me😢
@@TheHopelessGeek i dont think headphone zone or conceptkart would offer any repair they just import iem and sell them . i ordered moon drop chu2 if same thing happens again i will not buy iem again . i saw this some review in headphone zone one side stopped after some time .
I have just purchased these iem, my phone has a 3.5 mm jack. The audio quality is crisp, but I'm not experiencing any kind of bass in it. Plus the volume is not that much. Can you tell me how can I improve bass and volume
Well, IEMs don't often have the same booming bass you typically get from other earphones. They're made to represent sound more naturally. For the castor, the switches 1 and 2 will enhance the subbass a bit. Keep the 3 and 4 down. Make sure the eartips make a good seal in you ear canal without lots of air gaps to enhance bass.
Tuning can be done with software also , it's just a marketing gimic , everyone is promoting it they are just burning money on marketing to sell them more and more.
Yes, of course it can be achieved with software. I thought this to be interesting mainly because it doesn't require a software across multiple devices. The effects on the audio output, based on my experience, are not gimmicky. Not revolutionary, but certainly not useless, especially for the price. It's okay to have opinions, but the objective fact here is, KZ and I have no affiliation. I got these from an independent source along with all my other IEMs.
@@TheHopelessGeek Thanks for the clarification bro , hope you make a comparison video (low to high price ) and rate them accordingly. I recently discovered your Channel and you are doing good 🔥
@@TheHopelessGeek Not some specific product but It should be like a flagship killer product which is lower in price to best available not super pricey like worth pricey IEMs.
Yes, I'm a shill. Everything you say is completely and unequivocally true. There's no way you could be wrong about this assumption. It's a fact. 👍🏽 Happy?
₹1450 on concept kart. ₹1600 on headphonezone. I've already linked those in the description along with alternative links for Amazon. Please check before posting 7Km of emojis.
It's good, overall. The sharpness is decent and not as aggressive as the ZSN pro series, which was too much for me. The bass is alright, nothing exceptional but not bad. The stereo separation is very good. Tangzu Waner does it better, but these are fine.
