I have been married to a Filipina for 12 years now, when you go to this country your heart will open up, all your worries will be left behind in the West, or wherever you come from. I love the singing in my home country New Zealand, i don’t hear anything like this here in Australia. i have also researched this for years. My three young children can also sing. My wife does not have a powerful loud voice but she can sing, so can her family. I long to return to the beautiful Philippines, to Live for the rest of my days. I am 37 & can’t wait to get to there & be around family! I highly recommend you travel there Miss, you will love every moment! You can be a singing teacher, but it is not important in this country, from the moment they are born they sing! They own all the singing contests in the world, it is natural to them.

One of the things that I love the most about her is on how she turned her weakness into strength. When she was young, she can sing higher and more powerful notes. Sadly, had her throat operated due to an illness, affecting her singing. But she didn't let it stop her and found her ways to pursue her passion.

KZ is so creative. In doing Rolling in the Deep she moves from genre to genre. She eve use special effects not to tune her voice but as just that.. special effects. So creative.

must give her props for making the song sound her own. thats #respect to the original singer. her version doesnt take away the sound which the song known for. but still create something that people would love. props to your channel, legit insight from a legit and very good vocal coach.

I love KZ, never tired watching all of her videos. She is unique, talented, a great performer, versatile and a very creative singer. I think you're a very good vocal coach, Zoe. I mean I know a lot of the commenters just watch how you react about KZ and gloss over when the coaching part comes but I also enjoyed that part. I am guessing this is the first time you are reacting to her. In the art of performing, I think KZ would really be the best example for t your students how even if you don't have powerful vocals, you can still be an artist and fantastic performer. You should listen to her other performances in the Singer 2018 -- start with Rolling in the Deep (that is usually the kickoff point for new KZ fans). Then her Say Something and The Hurts You Never Knew performances in the same show. She does all her arrangements, just fyi. Also, at a young age, she developed some polyps on her throat or something (I'm sure some people will mention it) which she thought would be the end of the singing career she so wanted even before starting because she wouldn't be able to hit high notes anymore (a must for every good Filipino singer). Happens she has other talents to express her artistry.

Hello Ms Zoe. I do enjoy your insights on this one and others (of course) -you know music and voices and you're very helpful to someone like myself to somewhat understand the intricacies on how a particular sound is produced! I learned a bit here and there and admittedly, my only qualifications in judging how good a particular artist/singer's is when he/she gives me the chills or moved me to tears lol! I do recommend, when you get the chance to react to KZ's Say Something on the same competition as the Royal's. Thank you and looking forward to more reactions from you!

If this is your first reaction on KZ react in her totally different cover of adele's rolling in the deep, then "say something", both on this same show. Say Something is totally different from royals and rolling in the deep and she only has a day to rearrange and practice this song and in fact, she had to call her friend from the philippines to fly to china to play the acoustic version of this song.

Been in the same contests with kz tandingan, katrina velarde and morissette amon back in the visayas. I grew up in greece and turkey. When we moved in the philippines because my dad died, my filipina mexican mom tried to make me compete in singing contests here all over the philippines. And i would say theyre all nice and were really tough to beat. Kz and i were multi genre singers. We dont stick in one pallette.

I got tired listening to singers getting louder and louder but no emotion ...and it's a good idea to make her a good example to your students.... there's another good Filipino singer the then CHARICE PEMPENGCO.... she's loud, High and also really good in making the song her version....
