Not much played, but the piece is so nice, and very well played by the organist. The final of the organ concerto was one of the favorite pieces of my organ teacher during high school. Playing it in the Hamar Cathedral, Norway, with all stops out, my goodness, it still gives me chills!

Eine der schönsten Interpretationen der Gotischen Suite, die ich bisher gehört habe. Liegt wohl auch an der Hammer Walcker Orgel... In echt klingt die ja noch viel besser, wie über die Anlage zu Hause... 5 Sterne!!!

Die schöne Interpretation liegt vor allem beim hochbegabten Organisten, der das ganze Werk sorgfältig einstudiert hat - wirklich: So wunderbar wie diese herrlich gespielte Suite Gotique habe ich noch nie gehört; mir gefallen alle vier Sätze, einfach ein wahrer Genuss!!!!!

Herr Walcker spreekt ook een aardig woordje Frans; magnifieke uitvoering Wilbert, vooral het mooie dansante tempo in het Menuet, hoor je helaas te vaak nog wel eens anders...

I love your interpretation and I'm glad to discover another great organist and also a great Walcker organ - the only Walcker organ I knew before watching this was the Riga dom organ, which is absolutely fabulous. This organ would be interesting to compare with Cavaillé-Coll of St. Ouen :) I would say that my favourite interpretation of the Toccata is by Olivier Latry, he plays it probably faster than anyone else, and maybe he could slow down for the last 4 chords, but his playstyle provides a huge gradation through all the piece, which makes the Toccata really terrifying, it's horrific, night-marish, hair-raising, I'm really scared just by listening it, not even mentioning, how could one feel when listening to it live in a dark cathedral enlightened by candles only. It would be only better if Mr. Latry did a recording at St. Sulpice, because the organ of Notre-Dame doesn't sound even as nice, not even close. Anyway, your Toccata was an enjoyable experience as well :) I hope I'm about to learn the whole Suite Gothique in near future, as a passionate amateur pianist I don't get to exercise on the organ so much :/

You may want to take a look at a Walcker organ in Kaunas garrison church of St. Michael the Archangel. It's a wonderful instrument, an experimental model with some unique voices. It is currently in good state and is regularly used in mass and concerts.

Actually, i always thought the same thing ! Olivier Latry interpretation is in my opinion pretty good, but hearing the play on the Cavaillé-Coll Magnum Opus of Saint Sulpice would be like divine to me !

Stiven Boll. Con organo a cinque? Tastiere. Preferisco organo italiano due tastiere con registri giusti sonorità timbri ben fatti ti fai tutto elegante. Organi cosi mastodontici effetto gran confusione melodica e armonica . Sembra una carica di fucilieri.ascolta Ritter o Zecca organi 4 tastiere ok. Ma che sonorità pure escono la suite gotica la migliore suonata da Zecca. Imparate modestia.
