Dining Philosophers Problem in OS is a classical synchronization problem in the operating system. With the presence of more than one process and limited resources in the system the synchronization problem arises. If one resource is shared between more than one process at the same time then it may lead to data inconsistency.

but the occourance of deadlock was not explained properly, it shold be like: if P4 takes S4 and is preempted, then eventually all the processes woul be in deadlock state without the need to be preempted.

My professor took 2 classes to explain this but even the class toppers could not understand anything. The number of views channels like these have speaks volumes of the education system students are trapped in. It takes 35 mins but if we kept patience then its a perfect explanation and at the end of video it is look like very interesting. Thank you sir for grt effort for such classical IPC Problems. After watching it i recommend viewrs to watch the andrew tanenbaum book for process synchronisation its awesome.
