And to think of it as the Sopa opera of the day, in as much as this form of entertainment was meant for everyone, not just the few that were able to afford the price of admission at the box office.

Stupendous!, but it appears that the people are taller and thinner than they really are. Perhaps it was done on purpose to fit more of them on the screen. Anyone know?

It's for the aspect ratio. It was filmed in a thiner aspect ratio and to fit in RU-vid they've made it like that.

Pretty ambitious there. You probably won't play Belcore for a few more years, but learn it while you still can. You never know :) Also, learn the italian if you can as well. Comes in handy for auditions :)

Concordo con lei sul fatto che Nucci abbia non poche inflessioni tenorili poco piacevoli quando si ascolta un baritono (resta comunque, a mio avviso, superiore a Domingo) ma da un punto di vista recitativo non trovo nulla da ridire! Comunque Meletti e Capecchi erano vocalmente superiori.
