Thank you Terry! This video can definitely help my engine issue. I have to get to the bottom of it bc I constantly have morning turning on issues and when I shut off at a tire shop or anywhere.

I’ve got a skip, almost like a bucking in high gear past 1500 RPMs. It’s near impossible to get the truck over 70. Could this be the cam sensor or more around the injector harness? The check engine light isn’t on unfortunately.

Hello i have a question about the Cummins n14 At on point it was running perfect then all of a sudden it started to act like it was governed and when I hit the accelerator in idle it act like it wants to shut off any suggestions on what I should check

Hi Terry I have an M11 ISM as soon as I plug in plug No1 it blows the 15 amp fuse. I’m suspecting a short in the board.

I have a n14 red head and have replaced numerous cam sensors over the years.Any suggestion of what the cause of them going bad all the time??

Hello, Terry! Just purchased n14 celect+. Second cylinder idling ok but when accelerating to about 6th gear and put more load starting to shake, sometimes knocks. When I immediately stop, the second cylinder will not work ok for minute or two, then it would normalize. Also have air in fuel return. Checked for air, replaced: injector, rebuilt head; checked camshaft with camfolowers. The signal in harness is stable at idle.the voltage is moving around as an the first one. I am going crazy here. About to jump in to the piston. I will appreciate any idea. Thank you.

I would say that an injector pigtail or injector shorted out the ECM and damaged the Injector Timing Chip inside the ECM. Most of the time the ECM will act up under load, the hotter the engine gets and when the truck starts to get under a 1/4 tank of fuel. Terry I am having a hard starting issue with an older m11. It is a recon and has the two wire data port and I can't find anyone who can connect to it. Not getting a signal to the injectors, new cam sensor, new fuel shut off. However, if you turn the key on and leave it for a few minutes , sometimes as long as 15 min, it will do some kind of reset where the dash engine stop light will go out, then it will start within 5 seconds of cranking. But as long as that light is on, it will not start.

Hi Cameron, it looks like your ECM is getting old and the ECM power supply is getting weak. You may try putting a new fuel solenoid on it. When fuel solenoid starts going bad, they steal power from the ECM. The solenoid should read 12 volt. If less than 12 volts, remove the solenoid wire and see if the voltage goes up. If so, replace the the fuel solenoid. Good Luck Cameron!

Thanks for the video! Spent the day trying to get my brothers truck running. Fuel shut off solenoid is dropping to 9.6v. Someone suspects starter drawing too much current. Ohms on fuel shut off solenoid was below 8. Ohms on cam sensor was 1423 -1490. Is that an indication of it being bad?

I had one frieightliner. .I think 1998...it was a 350hp.400hp you go up hill slows down to 60mph and the 50 extra hp kicks in turbo gauge goes up about 10psi...how many years did they make the m11 like that....

Need the ESN# to see what it is capable of hp/torque. M11 CelectPlus are maxed out at 400hp unles you put a firetruck cal or rv cal 450hp. Recal is $250 Good Luck!

Hey terry I have a 1999 fld120 with a n 14 Cummings engine. I’m having a little issue with it every time I come to a stop lights or any stop the shut off light come on once I push on the gas pedal it goes away till the rpm go back down again.. if you could help me with this little issue I would really appreciate it ..

Sounds like your Oil pressure sender is leaking or check your oil pressure should be around 15 pounds at idle Good Luck!

I have a 93 international with N14 cummins ,the problem that i have is that in the mornings is hard to start the engine,once is warm is starts right away. Help.

Sound like it is losing prime or when you are cranking, it is not getting over 10 volt hump at the fuel solenoid. May want to make sure your injector harness n14parts.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57_69&product_id=76 and battery harness n14parts.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57_69&product_id=89 are in good shape and the batteries/connections. Sounds like your injectors are leaking/dribbling at idle and check you idle up and down switches Good Luck Terry

have an n14 (red top) in a '95 t800 that developed a major miss/white smoke in the 1200-1800 rpm range. It idles fine with no smoke, but between 1200-1800 it coughs and blows white smoke. After 1800 it smooths out and sounds normal. After changing fuel filter, Figured it had lost an injector, so 6 new ones later it still acts the same. What are the other possibilities? ECM, cam sensor? It all started idling on the scale the other day. I limped it to the shop so has less than 20 miles since it started.

Did you find out the problem? I was told the cam shaft was bad and my pistons 2 n 4 were bad even when i changed new ones injectors stil no work

I have a commins engine in a 2010 school bus, it will run great and then all of a sudden just shut off, at first it would crank back and run for a week or so no problems, now it won't crank, but every now and then and run for a few minutes. when it cranks now I'[m scared to drive it because it cost so much to tow it if it stops. New fuel filters, filters were full of fuel.

10-4:n Duly Noted. @7:35- The Fuel Solenoid pulls a signal from the cam sensor; which in turn signals the ECM to fire the injector. Now if I could just identify the fuel solenoid from the fuel cut-off switch.....:-|
