In the comics Francis, Zoey, and Louis are waiting out the zombies and then they get on a boat and live in the Florida Keys for the rest of their lives. Not sure about Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, and Nick.

I swear Im the only one Ive ever heard say Nick is my favorite, I love Coach too but I really like Nicks arrogant attitude and how he slowly changes during the campaign for the better liking of his companions.. If theres anyone else who likes Nick lemme kno, cuz I really do wanna know lmao

Now all I need is a left4dead 3 with a 7 person team with all the survivors. Now with bigger roster of infected and bigger horde size, maps with branching and splitting path and objectives that will require some team splitting. The story will consist of their effort to make a cure or trying to establish a community and safe haven for the immunes by helping smaller communities to survive so they can join their haven. A hub to replace menu, to relax between mission.

perhaps, they will meet again each other. i don't know, on left4dead 4 or 5? i mean, its impossible to make them meet each other at the 3, it will make no sense. perhaps, in left4dead 3, the characters will be: ellis, coach, rochelle, and Nick. they make it to new orleans. on the L4D 4, the character will be zoey, louis, francis and one more person. basically, they (characters from L4D 1) won't leave because bill was dead, right? so this is the job for the new character to encourage those 3 to move, of course after bury Bill. so, they move to nawlins, and yeah they meet there. if there is a L4D 5, it will be the final battle to recover the place and curing the infection. . . . but i dont know, well...i am just a fan that hope the game don't end up too soon.

@programaster The boat is actually at the other end of the bridge. The bridge was actually raised to begin with. They have to lower it so they can get on the bridge, then raise it up again so that zombies stay away, and they can get to the other side by walking. You see that metal railing path? They gotta raise the bridge to get to the metal railing path. Once they are up there, means they are safe. And they could get to the other side anytime.

The left 4 dead 1 survivors did survive. The comic "the sacrifice" shows how Bill died and where they went after the passing.

I think the l4d survivors were more badass. they stayed to kill the infection, while the l4d2 survivors ran to form a new society. The first batch always gets all the hard work.
