Wow, I didn't realise they were so (relatively) old when they broke through - Suzy and Dee were both in their mid-30s, Donita was 30-ish and Jennifer was the baby in her mid-20s.
Here in Oz the women are sort of in the middle of English and American much like Canadian women I think. It might be west coast American thing. No BS with American women they're straight up about their views and if they like you or not.

On the other hand you had pretentious "I'm just so hip and alternative" douche-bag Dave Kendall from 120 Minutes thinking Page Hamilton from Helmet was the name of a girl, and once totally embarrassed himself in front of Kim Deal. Between Ricky and the likes of Dave Kendall, Ricky was much less of a poser.
