Glenn Marshall record companies nowadays purposely put out shit with generic monotone beats with no soul... they don't want people with passion and thought... they want everyone to enjoy and follow shit like Flo Rida
I've watched this a million times. This is one of my favorite live performance of any band during that era, and this was seriously one of the best eras for rock.
One of the greatest moments in television history. The night L7 stumbled out of The East Village, took a cab to midtown, & destroyed on Letterman. Nirvana on SNL & L7 on Letterman, 2 watershed moments in Rock History. Letterman- "Gee, I hope they're not falling in with the wrong crowd. heh heh heh."
My country is declaring a lockdown.. and it's not easy for an older lad..to go outside... But I'm fortunate to have this track in my pandemic playlist.. Much love from Philippines ❤️
Whats up with what's going down In every city, in every town Cramping styles is the plan. They've got us in the palm of every hand. When we pretend that we're dead When we pretend that we're dead They can't hear a word we've said When we pretend that we're dead (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon) (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon) (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon) (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon) We turn the tables with our unity, They're neither moral nor majority. What a great performance. On live national television, which is always so unforgiving with loud bands' sound. And Letterman. What a patronizing bastard.
Letterman was the one who personally picked the bands to be on, so I wouldn't call him a bastard. He was the only late night host who would ever have them on at the time.
I love them they the most talented and most beautiful female grunge rock band in history:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X:XI love you,Donita Sparks,i will marry you:X:X:X:X
I remember when this aired... yes, I'm that old... and saying, "Why is Letterman's band playing with them?" L7 could have held their own without any noise from Paul Shaffer's band of norms.
BobWa6913 look at them, they're having a fucking blast. Forget the Paul and his guys were silly tv personalities on a goofy late night show. Strip it all down and they were musicians. Musicians like to jam together. I bet Paul Schafer and The World's Most Dangerous Band were stoked to play with L7 and I'd be be willing to bet L7 was having a blast playing with them too. So yeah that's probably why, because who wouldn't want to rock out with some bad ass heavy chics live on t ?
Sweet edgy Suzi; Smart funny Donita; sexy as hell Jennifer, I saw them last night and it wasn’t a blast from the past, it was the REAL THING. They came onstage with their guitars, and one sound guy, and just played. I LOVE THESE LADIES!
Paul Schaffer is no laughing matter as a musician himself, but he is one lucky man to have been there to watch and play alongside so many great bands that visited Letterman. My personal favorite Letterman performances mostly come from Foo Fighters and R.E.M., but a few others come to mind that always played well like The Black Keys.
One of few female groups who can truly rock as hard as any male group. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of female artists who can go toe to toe in musical artistry any day of the week, but sludgy aggressive music with a fuck-you attitude is apparently hard for women to pull off. L7 does it and does it their way.
