Almost a quarter century ago and the venue did burn down since then. Amazing talented kids. I played there around the same time in a local band. Fantastic times were had. Good Day!
Every time the violin guy starts the chorus on song 1and 2 I almost cry!!, so incredibly nice tact and powerful instruments for the chorus!, All such good and nice songs ❤️❤️💪🌟🌟
Man! These guys are pretty damn Good!!! Kind of young but sound like Seasoned Pros. I would love to see and hear them at Mullates in New Awlins. Awesome!!!! Merci Beau Coup.
Best version I have heard of this song! These young people are phenomenal, showing such composure in a rowdy crowd and truly enjoying what they do. Inspirational.
Wow! what a fun set! Thank you for sharing this awesome content with us plebes in the peanut gallery! I apologize for the skimpy stage covering from the peanut gallery! The music was awesome and we were mighty distracted by this awesome performance. May the blessing of prosperity befall the band and their audience. 🦊Riki2Tails
I just found you! I love cajun music and you are a great part of it. Are you still performing on the stage? Best wishes and a big thank you from Austria.
This band is still playing and they shortened their name to simply Feufollet. A few changes in musicians but the leader of the band Chris Stafford is still there (and he plays with many other groups and takes part in various recording sessions with various artists).
@@cajun_and_zydeco_music thank you very much for answering my question. Yes I know this band Feufollet from their several appearances on different festivals like the one of Saulieu or Pontchartain and many more. They are just great. Which one is the band leader on that old video? Is it the fiddleplayer or the one on the harmonica? And that cute little singer girl, was she still part of the band when she had grown up?
@@mastermind7163 Chris Stafford (accordion, vocals) is still with the band and is still the leader of the band. The girl singer is no longer with the band and she is not part of any band that I am aware of these days.
Chris Stafford (accordion, vocals) is a multi-instrument professional musician with a recording studio. Chris Segura still plays fiddle with several bands (I saw him play a week ago in fact). Both are still playing in Feufollet (as the band is named now). Ashley Hayes (guitar, vocals) was (and may still be) with Bonsoir Catin.
Yes, they are all grown up and still playing (although I'm not certain about the girl on the left and the drummer). The rest are still playing, including the accordion player who is now a full-time professional musician in Lafayette, Louisiana.
@@workcell You're welcome! I keep adding more new and 'vintage' footage so hopefully you will enjoy that also. Check out my other channel (Bayou Rambler) where I have posted a few videos of traveling around Southwest Louisiana seeking out Cajun and Creole music and culture.
