ENG: "La Forma Ultima" is a multimodal audiovisual installation that aims to unite abstract art with new technologies, interactively exploring, through various synesthetic forms, the pictorial works and musical concepts of the Russian artists Kandinsky and Skrjabin.
The intent is to create a scenic situation where the spectator can pause to observe the work "from afar" by witnessing a succession of audio-visual scenes that repeat cyclically, and at the same time give the spectator the chance to explore it more "up close" by interacting with the contents of the various paintings and images, not only in their visual part but also in their acoustic part, in a set of synesthetic correlations that become an integral part of the work itself.
Through the use of the hands, the user can manage the various situations by means of a controller, almost as if it were a palette, or choose to compose the picture by painting it with the movement of the hand, almost as if it were a paintbrush. It is an experience that allows the user to discover figures, colours and sounds associated with each other in a personal way, thus synaesthetically involving the senses of sight and hearing.
ITA: "La Forma Ultima" è un’installazione audiovisiva multimodale che si propone l'obiettivo di unire l’arte astratta alle nuove tecnologie, esplorando interattivamente, attraverso varie forme sinestesiche, le opere pittoriche ed i concetti musicali degli artisti russi Kandinskij e Skrjabin.
L’intento è quello di creare una situazione scenica dove lo spettatore possa soffermarsi ad osservare l’opera “da lontano” assistendo ad una successione di scene audiovisive che si ripetono ciclicamente, e al contempo dare anche la possibilità di esplorarla più “da vicino” facendolo interagire con i contenuti dei diversi quadri ed immagini, non solo nella loro parte visiva ma anche in quella acustica, in un insieme di correlazioni sinestesiche che diventano parte integrante dell’opera stessa.
Attraverso l’uso delle mani il fruitore potrà gestire le varie situazioni tramite un controller, quasi fosse una tavolozza, oppure scegliere di comporre il quadro dipingendolo con il movimento della mano quasi fosse un pennello. Un’esperienza che permette di scoprire in maniera personale figure, colori e suoni associati tra loro, coinvolgendo così sinestesicamente i sensi della vista e dell'udito.
