This song was composed while the French Revolution was happening, a song about the "Beheading Machine" or "the guillotine", The French Republicians used it to behead Nobles and Royal lineages.
I use other images because the "Guillotine" photo has gore and horror, so don't ask why I took an unrelated photo!

Little correction in the translation here : "Mais de noble on a gardé, de mourir le coup tranché" means something like "we kept one good thing for us, to not die with the neck cut". It's pun : A noble refers to the nobility that will sure get a cut in the neck and "something noble" is synonym to a quality.
