As a native Ladino speaker, I have to say the pronunciation is extremely good compared to other versions I have heard. Ke Dio' Baruh Shemo te bendiga kon mas ardor para azer la muzika para anyos i panyos, sin kosa negra.

@@emirashier No, cantan en ladino, la lengua de los judios de Sefarad que fueron expulsados por los reyes catolicos. Su ortografia es diferente de la castellana.

@@emirashier Sí, cantan en español ladino, llamado también jaquetiya en Marruecos, espanyolit en Israel, judeoespañol, etc, recibe muchos nombres, pero es el español evolucionado del siglo XV. Es el español que hablan los sefardíes en varios países, derivado del español hablado en 1492 y con palabras del hebreo y de idiomas propios de los países a donde llegaron los judíos españoles. No es lo mismo el ladino de Marruecos que el ladino de Turquía, por ejemplo, pero como ves, se puede entender casi todo sabiendo el español de España, lo mismo que se pueden entender un español, un mexicano o un argentino aunque hablen algo diferente.

@@emirashier La ortografía varía un poco a la oficial actual española, de acuerdo al país donde se escribe, si es en Turquía emplean más bien la ortografía turca. La Ñ española la escriben NY, como ocurre con el catalán, valenciano y balear en España. En el español antiguo la Ñ se escribía NN. La rayita arriba de la Ñ es una "n" chiquita. "La komida la manyana", sería en español estandar, "La comida de la mañana", o sea, el desayuno. El hecho de no emplear "DE" es muy común en el español del sur de España, donde diríamos también "La comida la mañana" sin ningún problema.

@@misssarahashplant31 yes and no, realistically a separdhim and a spanish person would be impossible to tell apart just by eye, they would both look like regular white people since jews were in spain for centuries and merged with the natives, hence why in medieval time they were forced to wear a red circle in all their clothes so people could know who was a jew, ethnically separdhims wouldve kept a small heritage from their semitic origin but regardless they wouldve look like any other iberian

Wow! I knew this rhythm as "Laz par", an Armenian dance in 9/8 rhythm. I would not have imagined a Laz par sung in Ladino instead of Armenian or Turkish. (Or perhaps in the language of the Laz people, who live where the Turkish-Georgian border meets the Black Sea.)

It's called Ladino, the dialect of the Jews who were notoriously expelled from Spain in 1492. Linguistically, it is considered very conservative - little changed over the centuries relative to other languages. So yes, maybe it would seem close to medieval Spanish.
