A suspect wanted for attempted murder led officers with the Los Angeles Police Department on a two-hour pursuit Friday afternoon that spanned across LA County, at one point ditching one vehicle and getting into another.

Reminds me of an old black & white, Oliver & Hardy movie with 10 open-roofed cars filled with 10 cops each carrying guns, waving them frantically in the air, & doing nothing. I wonder if they realize how ridiculous this looks. I guess I've been watching to much AST & GST videos. My definition of a high speed chase goes far beyond 50 miles an hour. This type of chase in those states would last about 5 minutes.

I have been watching a murder suspect who as a result of msgs or cell phone call got a waiting car and hopped in the back seat and three lady passengers from the first avalanche car ran away and later on arrested. There are 7 LAPD police cars chasing the SUV and hopefully the suspect/suspects would be eventually arrested and brought to justice. Lately almost 10 people have been murdered and wish people get justice in our country i.e Pakistan.

True, I can't stand when they zoom in and all you can see is the vehicle, and no surroundings near them, and you can't see what is happening or about to happen, and actually makes it more stressful. An up close but wide angle of nearby streets and cars, like this one, gives more clarity on the pursuit.

At one point during the chase, someone in the car tossed a puppy, that was placed inside a purse, from the moving car on 56th St and Figueroa. LAPD officers quickly recovered the puppy and it is now being taken care of at the South LA Animal Services. In total, three people were arrested, the police department announced Saturday morning. The suspects were identified as 27-year-old Gustavo Alvarez, 27-year-old Lynette Moreno and 25-year-old Michelle Zamudio. Alvarez was wanted for an attempted murder and carjacking that occurred on March 26 in the area of 101st Street and San Pedro St. Police say Moreno was arrested for setting up the second getaway vehicle and Zamudio was arrested for driving the second getaway vehicle.

Look up the LA pd/sd pursuit doctrine, there are very specific reasons they do this. Also helicopters. LA has something Arkansas doesn't, density, traffic, people.

I’m loving the new 2X fast forward feature for the RU-vid app. I don’t have to adjust the playback speed back and forth to watch these in a realistic time frame anymore. Now I can just hold my thumb down on the video and watch faster without missing anything and just let go when I wanna watch at normal speed. The lame quips from the reporters are actually funny at 2X speed. How many times couldn’t the dude say “ropadope” LOL.

This is so sad that poor girl ,and having a disability there's no punishment that would be enough. I would also like to give a lot of praise to Fox 11 for their excellent coverage the camera work is unbelievable and who ever is flying that Helicopter deserves a lot of praise . officers did a great job showed great restraint and caution for the safty of the public not one incident not one shot taken this is real policing at its vest best :-) this needs to be included in the training class for sure its a classic :-)
