So many innuendos during your visit at Pinks 😂 “It’s actually really good” can have so many implications…. And Tommy’s looks like the Rochester equivalent to post drunk eats. Shout out to a fellow patron of Rah-cha-cha!
I think he is a closet home. He said "give, receive cabeza" what? You could see his sidekick was a lil serious after he said that. Like he was thinking the same thing.
@@MOTA11000 I’ve lived in Texas most of my life and never once been to a Mexican restaurant that puts ketchup on anything….?! What kind of schwag restaurants do you eat at? lol
Best Tommy's moment from the 90s...went with a group of friends while we were in college. One guy asked for no chili. Worker responded with "you want burger no chili, go to Jack in the Box!" That dude never lived it down. We still remind him to this day.
"Give or Receive Cabeza is good" i can't believe you said that! naughty! lol I know bastante Español. I'm glad you brought your buddy. The hot dog looked good. When i was a teenager tried my ist chili dog from a hot dog stand. I loved it. I love tacos. When I was visiting a cousin near LA he took me to a Tommy's hamburger and it was ok .I don't remember it well. I do love In & Out burgers. We don't have them on the East Coast yet!
@GarethEats Try Phil's BBQ , it's in Temecula. It's one of the best BBQ spots, hands down! About a 90-minute drive from LA going towards San Diego. Also, the best burger spot I've tried, called Hodads. They're located throughout San Diego. That place will knock the socks off your feet.
We have so many iconic spots. For me personally King Taco is my late night stop. You get you a carne asada burrito or some sopes…with that green sauce. Ooooh baby, catch you outside how bout dat! 🌮
Speak for yourself! Mixing apple sauce and sour cream together doesn't make it not kosher (a reuben is way more sketch). I always put both on my latkes - that's a boss move.
Pinks is not my go to. Try L.A.’s newly restored and brought back Tail of the Pup. The great hot dig place in the shape if a hot dog. In new location in WeHo, beautifully restored and with a large indoor/ outdoor new eating area. And a GREAT menu of dogs, etc.!!!
I'm from phx I went to that location it was sketch af but never was a burrito more worth getting into some shit for then some king taco the refused to give me lemon or lime just green sauce
If King Taco is your favorite you gotta raise your bar a little higher my dude. There's like a million better places. Personally, King Taco is one of the worst Mexican spots I've eaten at. And I was born and raised in LA.
He made the rookie mistake of unwrapping the Tommy’s Burger. If you unwrap the yellow paper from one end only and proceed to eat downward you will be fine without spillage. You can always spot the rookies.
Bruh , when you get a Tommy's double chilli cheese burger , get fries with it and eat the burger over the fries so the chilli drips over the fries and get chilli fries by default ...duh .... aaauuuggghhhh frickin' amateurs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All of these joints brings back fond memories. Unfortunately, now that I'm in my 40s, I'll only be able to eat at one joint every 6 months if I want to stay alive.
One of my all time late night places is The Original Pantry. It's been open for decades 24/7. Some of the best breakfast and their home made sourdough bread is wonderful. Another place i would go but not sure they're open as late as when I went in the 80s and 90s is The Pacific Dining Car in DTLA adjacent. It's a little higher end but the place is old school cool.
Lived at Tommy's in the mid 80's during the college dorm days as the cafeteria food was pretty bad some nights. I started asking for the chili on the side and I'd add some into my burger and dip my fries in the rest to save a little money those days. lol.
The original Tommys stand was the shack on the corner. The L shaped building along the edge was an auto repair shop. The building across the street, I’ve never seen open and don’t know what is there. The rest is parking.
Ok so I got 3 spots if you have not been to them to eat at. TEDDYS RED TACOS and the BILLIONAIRE BURGER BOYS and HAWKINS HOUSE OF BURGERS, oh and 1 more spot. OFF DA HOOK SEAFOOD
L.A. native here: I have not been to that particular Tommy’s since I was 8 years old. My parents would get me the chili burgers at night. My parents hated Tommy’s 😄
GREAT PINKS GARETH,, GREATH,, LA CA.OOOHHH CANTERS ,, PASTRAME SANDWICH, CHOP LIVER SANDWICH,, MATZA BALL SOUP.. GO JEWISH POTATOS PAN CAKES..OOOHHH ,, NO WOW!!!! GUYSS GREAT JOB.. PEACE..
Pinks: gross Canters : gross Tommy's : gross Instead of pinks go to the ramen place around the corner Instead of canters go to McDonald's Instead of Tommy's go to Jack in the box 🧛🏼
Always fun stuff, but I’m not so sure the boozed up Greek chorus was necessary. Then again, I lived in LA for forty years and got my fill of barely dressed, barely literate ladies. Well, maybe not the barely dressed part.
Chicago style hotdog in that place is a big failed no way that is a chicago style what a joke, and the guy been from Chicago I don’t think he is he should off call it out right away if u are a true Chicagoan
@@arielts06 dint make sense since the other guy from Chicago dint call it out but hope they see this messages and let them people in Cali that ain’t it lol
Haha, that's fair! I didn't get sick per-say but I was definitely struggling the next morning! 💩 Haha, I have not tried Skyline Chili - but I've heard it's aggressive!
Gareth is that annoying drunk guy that keeps asking you if he can ask you a question or if he can tell you something. “Gareth…this is God speaking…I’m giving you permission to ask what you want or tell people what you want when you are drinking, from here on out…for the rest of your life…” lol
Just started watching your videos, bro i dont understand how you eat so much food, going to all these restaurants back to back in one day. Still, good stuff and enjoying your content
Enjoy seeing the LA food scene. Ha! That taco dance 😂 Please go to Las Vegas. I haven’t been but would love to see you go to the Peppermill it’s so 1970’s and pink and tacky looking with a good menu and tropical drinks. Please go to Hawaii…. Staying in tents near the water and so many off the beaten paths to try for food of course.
