With the public receptacles program growing, the city has put down more of these bins around the city. The city now uses metal slated cages with manual bins inside, as you can see in the video. I assume it is to discourage intentional burning of the ALBs (automated litter bins). Watch and enjoy one of LA's greatest employee's at work.
