What people dont know is that Michael actually wrote this song for La Toya during Off The Wall but later decided to use it himself for the Thriller album. All i can say is thank God he didnt give it to her because this is one of my favourite MJ song. And btw can you think of a better song to start a concert?

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and Billie Jean are my two favourite MJ songs ever. I mean, it's one of the few songs that I know that is totally dance-oriented but has a deep message in the lyrics.

Anybody who knows the history of this song gets it, Michael wrote this song FOR Latoya, sister in laws tearing her apart, jealousy, bickering, etc, makes her cover meaningful albeit not as "electrifying" as Michael's but nobody is as electrifying as Michael, I loved her cover of the song, she's beautiful too! I actually like it. Sure she cant hold a candle to Michael, but she does have entertainment talent and vocal talent. She does not have a strong voice, but she has a very clear, crisp, and pleasant tone to her voice. La Toya is my favourite Jackson because she is so incredibly sweet, real and honest. Plus she does have a decent voice. Plus remember, Michael wrote this song for her to do originally.

ya know, I was down with la toya until she started accusing Michael of being a child abuser back in 1993. She lied on him for fame, attention, and money with help from her former husband, jack Gordon, who is now dead. I know Michael forgave her in the end, just like he forgave his envious brother, Jermaine, for his TRASHED song dissing him because Michael has a big, loving heart. But I have mixed feelings about the Jackson siblings for how they dissed, abandoned, and acted out on their envy against Michael. May the king rest in peace.
i believe people should sing from the heart and to inspire others fame should'nt be the formost reason this is why Micheal was greatest and second to none La toya should try to do the same.

Well she's better looking, so that's something. She also has the same voice, just less confidence. And I'm quite certain she'd be just as good of a dancer if she had been given the chance to learn and practice some choreography; there are plenty of clips of her doing a handful of solid moves in a row, so it's not like she *can't* do it. Her career hasn't taken off because she spent her prime years as Jack Gordon's prisoner/punching bag/puppet.
