Great video - Nice watching those 757's taxi & take off. Interesting that even way back in 1989 Orange County had noise abatement restrictions so as you mentioned no 727's or DC-9's or JT8 737's.

Listening to air traffic control radio calls makes these videos more cool!

At 26 mins when they're all pushing at the same time, that is so cool haha

Amazing to see how fast those 733's and 752's got up so quickly and quietly, which is still relevant for those 2 types today!

Fantastic video. In 1993 I made a connection, coming from Seatle to Las Vegas, with american airlines. SEA SNA MD 80, SNA LAS American Eagle, I don't remember the type, maybe ATR or Shorts, routes that previously belonged to AirCal, since the acquisition by AA took place, if I'm not mistaken, in 1987. The terminal shown in the video, being built, was fully operational in 1993. I loved seeing the 757s, with their powerful takeoff . Interesting the variety of airlines too. The OAG book was amazing. Congratulations for the video. Trully history in motion. Greetings from Brazil.

Wow such a good video. I just turned 2 when this video was filmed. Now that AA is retiring their MD-80s this guy is still referencing them coming off the production line. Pretty cool. When he started talking about the flights arrival and departure times I half expected him to pull out his cell phone then I remembered "oh yeah it's 1989" lol
