Days (like 3days) before i went into labor i felt constipated n my stomachache WAS "crampy". My first day in labor i felt cramps but i wasnt due for another 3-4 weeks so i assumed they were Braxton hicks (false labor contractions). I woke up and went to work...i made the slowest walk to the bus stop . Luckly i didnt have to wait long to get transportation as i got a ride straight to work immediately with a co worker. Later that day i experienced cramping / lighter contractions all day. By the end of that day i left work n headed back to the bus stop. I couldn't stand up straight....i was in such discomfort. Luckily again not 10 mins of waiting i saw the same co worker n got a ride straight home. Thank Jesus. I didnt eat. I planned on cooking that day but was in too much pain to further consider it nor did i have much appetite. The next day was my day off from work thank God (otherwise i would have probably gone in to work again lol). That day i had more intense abdominal cramping on n off which i now know were "contractions". They got worse later that night. I couldn't sleep n was up from midnight in discomfort. Moaning n tossing n turning n cramping by now i wisesd up n started timing these " crampings" as i began to suspect they might be contractions. By 5:40 am my mom came n we left for the hospital. We arrived after 6am n I had my baby by 8:30am that morning. My boy is now 2 months n 3 weeks old. Hes the joy and love of my life. I am so happy to be a mom for the first time... ...although currently single God has been my comfort n our provider and strenght. I was single my entire pregnancy as well ...as my ex and i had separated apparently right after i conceived and we had no clue. I had an easy pregnancy (half of it passed without me even knowing i was pregnant ), i had a quick n easy delivery with 0 complications. I did an all natural delivery (not induced, pushed from the vagina, no epidural).I experienced 0 tearing or cutting of the vagina, only slight bruising according to the nurse. I felt 100% recovered n strenght immediately after delivery. I did bleed heavily for 2 days, then moderately the 3rd day n lightly like spotting up until my 6 weeks checkup. I did NOT experience post partum and ive just been so happy. Whenever i feel cluless n lost or scared or frustration i just lift my head to Jesus and talk to him, "God im so lost i dont know how to keep this baby alive, i dont know what to do nx, i feel lonely, i feel overwhelmed etc...please help me" . Instantly i always feel comforted n i just seem to get past whatever problem im facing. Praise Jesus!!!!! ..... as i didn't think i could have kids after trying for so long....but i prayed the prayer of faith n finally 5 months after that prayer i discovered i was 5 months pregnant. Halleluia!!!! Jesus still answers prayers
38 weeks and I’ve hated every second of pregnancy (but I’m super excited for my baby and I LOVE her already), I’m just so so SO ready to be done with it so I can start healing.
@@ninav. I’m 39 weeks, due next Monday and I’m just waiting lol. My stomach is rock hard whenever I walk or do anything but sit and I’m having back pain. Hopefully it progresses soon!
@@ninav. I had a 4 and a half hour labor. Contractions progressed really quickly. I'm so glad she is out in the world She is the most precious little angel.
Same here! Every morning I say “they’re coming soon, everything feels so much sorer today surely it can’t get worse than this!” Yet here I am, still pregnant 😂
Me the past 3 weeks lol, today is my due date and I've accepted that I do not know my body, what labor is going to feel like and do not trust my intuition any more :P
I watched a lot of your videos during my pregnancy and I truely believe your advice saved me and my baby's life. I had HG throughout my entire pregnancy. It was so bad I had to be hospitalized almost every 3 weeks and given fluids (and sometimes liquid potassium) because of the nonstop puking. I ended up weighing less after birth than I did before the pregnancy. I went in to labor 8 weeks early and had my little girl at home in our bathroom with no medical assistance. My husband was there but he didn't even have enough time to help before she came out. I was having a pretty normal day, nausea as soon as I woke up but it had subsided and I was feeling pretty good for most of the day. Until about 6pm when I started feeling lower back cramps accompanied by a very strong feeling like I had to poo that would come and go but every time I tried nothing would happen (now I know it was back labor). And my nausea came back FULL force. I couldn't keep even water down and I eventually was so worn out I just tried to sleep it off. That didn't help either, I was waking up every 15 minutes puking bile because I didn't have anything left in my stomach. Eventually I decided to try hopping in to the shower because that had always been the only thing that seemed to help throughout my entire pregnancy for the HG. And then I remember feeling like I REALLY needed to poo so I hopped out and went across to the toilet, still butt naked, puke bowl in my lap. This was about 2am now and I didn't have any lights on. All of a sudden I felt something splash on the floor at my feet and, delirious from all the puking, I thought I'd spilt my bowl but then I felt myself push to poo really hard and something shifted. But nothing came out. And I reached inside and when I saw blood on my fingers I had a moment of realization. I reached in one more time and I could feel her head halfway out already. I immediately screamed for my husband. I remember thinking "oh god, it's too early" and then "oh god she probably can't breathe!" And as soon as he flung the door open it took one push, and I pulled her right out. As my husband called 911 I realized she was moving but her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and she wasn't crying and she was getting darker and darker. My instincts kicked in and I unwrapped it and immediately put her up against me and started vigorously rubbing her back. And when she started coughing and screaming I cried with relief. We were both covered in blood but we were okay. My husband tied off the umbilical cord and not 5 minutes later came the placenta out in to the toilet just before the ambulance arrived. I think you're encouraging words helped me because I knew my body could do it and my instincts worked. Even though I was terrified my body and motherly instincts knew exactly what to do, just like you say in all of your videos. Your words kept me from panicking and if that had happened I just don't know if she would have made it. She was 4lbs 8oz at birth. Now she's 2 months old and just over 9lbs. She's absolutely healthy and beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I just can't say it enough but you are amazing and what you do really makes a difference.
Reading your words made my jaw dropped wider and wider 😭 I was currently on my 38th week, and been hearing stories about a friend who was also pregnant with HG, but hearing your birth story truly made me hold on to my seat, but also amazes me!! You are so strong and your mind is stronger 😭 and your instincts worked right. I'm glad you are good now, and your baby girl grows healthy and beutiful ❤️
38 weeks pregnant and I am so sick of everyone around asking when baby is coming and to walk walk walk...I just want to enjoy my last moments as mama of one. However cant help get influence at times and obsess about labour.
Or they legit see my huge belly and still say "No baby, yet??!" Duh!!! So annoying... She'll come when she comes, people. Relax! lol Enjoy your final days and good luck, Mama!!
Baby girl is healthy and here..3 weeks old now..and I am loving every moment. I had a short labour and I cant help but thank God first and all the videos too.
@@ginalex4life thank you...well all I can say is it's a different experience for everyone. First time I had a long labour. 24 hours but I felt like my body and mind got time to process it all so I was alot more calmer. But second time, my water broke first which I didn't expect. I had an hour long walk the day before and went to bed normal. Woke up to pee when I got to bed and turned. My water just poured.went to hospital and I was only 2 cm.they told me to wait but after an hour I started having contractions which were 5 mins apart. Then 4 hours later I was ready to push. Everything was fast I wasn't calm at all. It just wasn't how I imagined it.she was coming fast and I didn't expect that.it was alot more painful but quicker. Thanks to God.
42 weeks pregnant BUT I'm finally in labor! I have been for the past two maybe 3 days but today has picked up intensity and I now know this is it for real. Its my first ever natural labor, I was induced with all my other babies, I have 6, but here real soon to be 7 babies. Its been way more mellow this way, it's a homebirth so I've been at home and enjoying it all.
I was definitely in labor and had my baby not to long after I made this comment. The birth video is on my channel in case you were interested 😊 !!SPOILER ALERT!! Have tissues in hand 😉
No wonder you got induced with all the others, if your natural gestation is this long!! 🙃 That's the boat I'm in... sitting here at 42 weeks waiting for labor 😅 I know from prior experience that I just cook my babies long, but most moms and especially DOCTORS, would not wait patiently for this long!! My first was born just 7lbs at 42 weeks!!
40 weeks and 6 days today, waiting for my little man. I’ve been watching your videos during the end of my pregnancy to help aide during my natural birth experience. 💗
Bridget you might not be my personal doula, but every single video you do is such a blessing and it makes me and many others feel so at ease. Thankyou!!!!
Your videos have been so educational, helpful and calming during this stressful time. Our hospital is no longer offering tours or classes due to covid-19, so I’ve really been relying on your videos to teach me what I need to know. Thanks for your passion and dedication. It truly does so much good ❤️
I'm on my 39 weeks and gradually feeling the nauseous, loose stools or diarrhea and minor cramps on my back. I'm just waiting for the mucus plug to loose and the leaking of amniotic fluid, and progressing contractions. I really want to see my baby, I'm so excited. 🥰
41 weeks pregnant with my first baby today and am starting to feel some contractions coming on after all the above symptoms. Will try to take a nap and a bath and relax and hopefully my baby will make his way before induction tomorrow. So excited to just have him in my arms already. Thank you 💙
38 weeks pregnant. First time pregnant. I dont feel anypain now and I still feel normal. But I'm excited to see my baby soon. I hope my baby will come out soon.
When I walked in to labour room telling the nurse that I have been having contractions since past 19 hrs , they refused to believe me initially. They were expecting me to be wrong because I am first time mom and was too comfortable to be having contractions. One senior nurse even said I am primid so highly likely wrong. I had nausea and one episode of diarrhea in the beginning. CTG revealed that my contractions were every 5 mins and os was 3 cm.The nurses were wrong 😂.I delivered within 2 hrs of admission.
Raveena Morthi, Nurses make me so mad because they never listen to patient (or parent of the patient). Just remember you know your body more then them....
I went to ER Monday night with 5 min apart contractions that were just uncomfortable. The staff all thought I was being dramatic and sure enough the monitor showed I was having pretty strong contractions every 5 mins. But I wasn’t dilating or effaced any plus no leaking of fluid. So got sent home and told to come back when my water breaks cause I can’t base my labor off of contractions.
Miranda McCowen Hey Miranda, your comment resonated with what happened to me today :/ just curious what happened after you got sent home? Did you wait to go back once your water broke? Because I’m feeling intense contractions every 5-10mins but was only 1cm dilated and they sent me home. I’m struggling with the pain, and confused because I can’t even have a natural birth to begin with
MARS SQUAD did your baby come yet??? I’m due May 31 but have been having contractions every day off and on but not in labor... just the Braxton Hicks and they vary in intensity... good luck to you!
Christian Coleman hey! My son was born on the 19th and I knew it was time when the contractions intensified and contractions were really close. If they remain the same, spread out and aren’t intensifying then most likely Braxton Hicks/ false labor. Good luck to you girl!
Congratulations for your baby ! Have you been doing anything special to be 4cm dilated at 39weeks ? I am exercising everyday and drinking a lot of raspberry leafs tea but I am 39weeks and 1cm dilated since week 36
37 weeks tomorrow & with everything going on I’m getting so nervous because I’m still having to work. As much as I’m so excited to meet him! I wish I knew what day he was planning on being his birthday so I could be “ready” lol.
Katie Baker I totally understand! I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and still working too. It’s crazy and uncertain timing for sure! I’m at the point where I’m ready for this bAby to come like now! This is pregnancy number 2 for me how about you?
anne macias yes I had my 2nd daughter on Sunday March 29, 20 at 4:54 am through an emergency c section but mommy and baby girl are both home now and healthy. How about you ?
38 weeks pregnant and already 3 cm dilated, thank you for your support! I'm having contractions but they're not progressive yet, so I was going crazy analyzing is this it?! Thank you for speaking peace into my life :)
I had pre labor contractions for 4 days from late evening to early morning. On the 5th day I went into full blown labor at 7pm and delivered at 9:15. My water didn't break until right before crowning. The second (active labor 10min), first child was a 12hr labor (20min active labor) completely different experiences!
The timing of this video was eerily perfect 😂 I'm 36 weeks and yesterday evening I had an intense and painful pressure in my lower belly. It scared the shit out of myself and my husband so we immediately finished organizing the hospital bag just in case hahaha! It was just a one-time thing and probably just my body preparing, though it was a great reminder to get things ready soon. Woke up to this video today and it was really helpful, thank you so much!!
Thank you for this! I’m 37 weeks tomorrow with my second and have had symptoms that keep making me wonder if baby is coming soon but my doc hasn’t really said much about my concerns. First time around my water broke first and I had no other symptoms, not even Braxton hicks and they induced me at the hospital. This time around I’ve had all the things, frequent and often intense Braxton Hicks, period cramping, nausea, decreased appetite and not to mention raging heartburn. It’s been a little frustrating like you said. Thank you for essentially telling to relax and ignore these things and to just focus on water breaking or truly progressing contractions. 👌
Congrats to everyone❤️ I am 29 weeks and I am guaranteed to have a early birth and I have to drop out of school cause that isn’t happening any longer can barely do things at home. But just got done painting baby girls nursery now we need to build her crib and do her room I’m so excited for crib to get here. But I’m 15 dad isn’t here but my mom is the best. Been having real contractions because I went in for them but yeah good luck and praying for all of you💗💗💗
I'm here to tell moms, sometimes labor isn't all that intense. I was 32 weeks when I gave birth because I thought I was just having gas pains and regular back pain that I'd been experiencing from working a physical labor job during pregnancy. They tried to stop it but they couldn't, though they were able to slow it down enough to get steroids I'm our system and thank god our tiny baby was born without needing any help to breathe. I had a feeling that something was wrong, but I didn't have any reason to go seek medical help. I learned that "gas pain" was labor, which is scary because I have ibs so next pregnancy I'll have to go in to be monitored for contractions each time I have an upset stomach 😑
I have been having this issue exactly!! Im 36 weeks pregnant and baby is measuring in at 7 1/2 lbs. I had my 36 week checkup on Friday and the doctor told me I am 1.5 cm dilated, and 80% effaced. Three days prior to my checkup, i noticed i lost my mucous plug. Yesterday evening I started noticing a cramping like sensation in my lower stomach that sometimes I would also feel in my lower back. I couldnt tell really if they were gas/poop pains or if they were contractions. They continued for about an hour or so and they have been on and off since. 🤷♀️ nothing too painful though so maybe just braxton hicks?
That's what I'm stressing about now since I have no clue what to expect! I had my first at 30weeks no pain or contractions just mucus plug fell out which I had no clue what it was. I called health link and was told to go to the hospital when I went it I expected it just to be like ugh your good no worries but she checked me and I was 3cm dilated!!! So I'm on my second pregnancy and it's totally different! I lost my mucus plug at 34weeks with this one and I freaked lol but I'm 37weeks now and 2cm dilated but no change just random cramps. 😒
Im 32 weeks and was at hospital for regular contractions. Terb didn’t stop them but procardia has slowed them down a lot. I’m hoping baby stays in longer and healthy
I just had my baby on Wednesday I was 38 weeks and 3days . I woke up bleeding with no pain I was bleeding through out the day and the baby was moving everything was fine until the evening came contractions started they were just intense from the start lucky my bag was already packed , the contractions got so strong I couldn’t walk my parents had to help me to the car , the hospital was close by , ten minutes after arriving in the hospital my baby was born with only five pushes . Everything happened so fast . I prayed for an unmedicated quick delivery and that what happened I did get second degree tearing , while on the table I remembered one of these videos that you should listen to your body and push when the body says push and I did just that. Anyways these videos are helpful thank you 🙏
Doctors should inform you of all this. I found this all out on my own, my first pregnancy. I had 5 babies. Don’t forget the lower back pain… contractions.
I love your videos ! Im An l&d nurse and I love how you word/explain certain things and have used this in my practice as well as recommended your videos to friends that are expecting. :)
I am 37 w pregnant and have been getting cramping/loose stool/nausea for about a week now. But that’s it. I guess the biggest next step will be losing mucus plug and leaking + contractions 😅 Anyways Thank you so much for all your videos every single one is so helpful!!!!
I am a 21 year old, 40 week and 3 days pregnant woman, been having cramps here and there above my pubic bone, its our 1st baby, but I'm not sure if Ive been dilating and my doctor isnt really clear either. I am trying to enjoy these last few weeks or days but I am preoccupied due to inconsistent information from my doctor. Update: I gave birth naturally the same day I wrote the comment lol and the only sign I really had was cramping and contractions.
I’m 33 weeks, and this is my first baby. I love your videos they help me keep calm 🥰 I’ve started a channel around my pregnancy, RU-vid is amazing for information.
I'm 33 weeks and 5 days and I've just been feeling really off. Crampy, nauseous, definitely have diarrhea, horrible back pain. And then I woke up to this in my recommended 😳 thanks for the video!
I could have written this.. same here! I’ve been nauseated crampy and leaking fluid it could just be discharge because of the hormones ..Giving it sometime to decide whether or not to go to the hospital.
I had my baby 3 months ago. I didn’t have any of these symptoms though I was constantly looking for them! Contractions started at 41 weeks and baby came 3 days later 😁
So glad I found your channel! FTM and 26w+2d. I had complete placenta previa on my 19 week ultrasound and am having another at 28 weeks, hoping so much that the placenta moves and I don’t need a scheduled c-section. I’ve always wanted an unmedicated birth and had been planning on having a low intervention hospital delivery with my midwife since I got pregnant and the placenta previa really messed up my plans.
I had no signs of labor at 38 weeks the morning I woke up, nested like crazy all day, made dinner for 3 nights and pound cake, started having back pains which felt a lot like the usual ones, then my water broke, i never believed I was in labor I was even scared to go in and get sent away!
I'm 5 days postpartum with my second. For me, the beginning of labor starts with extreme cravings, a huge spurt of energy, followed by sudden, extreme drowsiness, then minor contractions that progress over 1 hour. The biggest indicator is the cravings tho, all I wanted was McDonalds and I'd feel sick thinking about eating anything else.
Bridget must say ur videos are best on internet I have seen ... Keep up the good work , bcs knowledge is power in preg, and helps us take informed decision.
I’m 29 weeks and I’ve been losing my mucus plug, been extremely nauseous and have had diarrhea. I also been feeling a pinch by my bladder but my doctors say everything is still good yet.
The challenge for me was not to figure out when labor started but to determine when I should head out to the hospital as I wanted to labor at home as much as possible and avoid interventions in the hospital, one of my babies was almost born in the freeway 😅
I've been really nauseous all day, lost my mucus plug last week(2 weeks ago tomorrow), lot's of lose stools, ocassional braxton hicks and a weird "clicking" in my cervix. Fingers crossed baby will be here soon
My first baby came at 42 weeks. I was so sick of pregnancy I think I tried everything under the son to self induce. Spent the whole time 38 on overanalyzing every symptom. 38 weeks with my 2nd and I've decided to work up until past my delivery date and ignore any and all symptoms unless its glaringly obvious haha
On my first baby I didn't lose the mucus plug, there was no bleeding, my water didn't break, I didn't feel nauseous, was super constipated... My doula told me many times I wasn't in labour, so I suffered at home alone. I kept monitoring contractions and they weren't very regular, which is also why she said "nothing" was happening. End of story, I got to the hospital totally dilated and almost didn't make it there. I felt weak and really discouraged, since I was in so much pain and thought I wasn't in labour, but I actually spent the entire day by myself without any support. Now I'm 33weeks pregnant with my second baby, don't have the same doula, and I will listen to my own instincts.
Yes please listen to your instincts. I was similar (no mucus plug, bleeding, water broke like 20 mins before baby came) I ended up having babygirl at home even tho I kept calling midwife but she kept saying I should be fine, this is my first baby, water hasn't broken etc etc. Should've listened to my instincts as well so I'm with you I'm definitely listening to my instincts 100% this time.
This is super helpful. I’m 38 weeks and I’m having quite a few different symptoms that keep me questioning if this is the early stage of labor. But I guess it’s all in the contractions lol good to know
i’m 34 weeks and i’m praying i don’t bloody get to 40 weeks. Second baby and i’ve hated pregnancy every time and i feel so bad because everyone’s always saying how much they love it but once i hit 30 weeks my body can’t handle it and starts to itch, cramp, ache every night and i’m left surviving on 8-10hrs a week 😅 god help me when this baby comes and i’m running on barely any sleep.
Currently 38 weeks +4 days. So over it 😐 please come now baby girl ! I’m ready!! Bouncing on the ball constantly and doing pelvic circles, really hoping she comes in the next few days
37+3 and I’ve been having period like cramps for about 10 days and lots of intense toning contractions and increased nausea. I’m also starving all the time! My midwife said my body is just preparing for baby. She told me I should be resting more to prepare.
I've been having cramps since 35weeks and now I'm 38+2 and still having intense cramps and tightning. Lost my mucus plug three days ago and been expecting my baby girl to finally make her grand entrance. 😔 Been feeling more depressed as days go by with just constant disappointment with these false labors.
35 weeks 2 days currently, lost my mucus plug at 34w6d, been having Braxton hicks & cramping, backache, potentially leaking fluid or excess watery discharge… I hope she stays in just a little longer 😅💗
I'm in the same exact boat currently. I told my husband "I lost my entire plug at 6 cms with our first, I'll go when I lose the entire thing and have contractions with it" I've lost some plug twice now, contractions aren't very strong but are happening, I'm nauseous, I keep needing the bathroom, I'm tired, I feel like I have a lower body temp as I'm shivering in 100°+ temps. I'm just watching and waiting
Is there a hotel near hospital? For me, it’s worth the money to have a closer place to labor, avoid unnecessary interventions and be on my own time table.
I have more contractions, lower abdomen discomfort, hip pain, nauseous, fatigue and Change in discharge but I don't believe I seen a mucus plug yet I'm 38 weeks 2 days
Honestly everyone.......Every woman is different and has different symptoms. My first: normal, easy day. And random horrific contractions hit like a ton of bricks. Went straight to the hospital and was fully dilated and ready to push! There were no prior signs. I drove myself crazy watching these kind of videos lol. Two kids later.......none of these signs or symptoms, water never broke.......every single birth experience is unique. Just a waiting game ladies
Thanks for this. I’m 39+3 now and I’m sooooo tired of the “jut wait till this” or “you’ll just know”. My whole pregnancy I didn’t have any issues or changes like whatever else people would say. Currently I’m feeling cramp like discomfort but not painful or obvious enough for me to know if I’m feeling contractions or not. “You’ll know when you’re having contractions” doesn’t sit right with me because everything else has been super easy for me. What if I just have a better tolerance and mistaking them for major cramps? Lol
On Tuesday I will be at 42 weeks so had to plan induction which is very devastating and frustrating.. I've had every one of these except for leaking fluid and losing mucus plug.. my hopes get up then boom no baby! I just want the baby to come out healthy and natural without being induced 😑
