Fast-track deportations of foreign criminals are expected as part of efforts to address the crisis of prison overcrowding.
Ministers will review proposals to reduce the number of foreign offenders in jails in England and Wales to free up to 10,000 places to ease shortages.
Director at the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies Richard Garside joins Talk’s Ian Collins to discuss this further.
