What would be the point of that, Labour have a huge majority in Parliament and would win any such vote of confidence, and thereby strengthen his position.
@@stequality I don’t think that is the case, he may have a majority in the commons, but fewer people voted for Labour than didn’t cast a vote. One would be horrified, and heaven forfend that all the non-voters and everyone else other than the low percentage that actually voted Labour, were to take matters into their own hands and removed the MP’s without an election as has happened in history in other parts of the world.

He cant "smash the gangs".They are operating in Europe,the Middle East and Africa. The main priority and responsibility of any Government is to keep their citizens safe and protect the Countries Boarders, that is not happening with migrants, the majority young men, landing unchallenged on beaches, with no idea who they are. This Government and the previous government have failed in their most basic duties to British citizens which is to keep them safe.

@@Plato76...I feel no shame whatsoever for having not voted.I will not waste my time and be hypocritical casting a vote in a system i don't have any faith or confidence in.By the same measure i will not critise what Labour is doing as i've excluded myself from the 'democratic' system by not voting and so it would be inappropriate to comment.. What really is the point of voting in what i regard to be an undemocratic, so called, representative parliamentary democracy? Our FPTP voting system has given Labour a huge majority when only one in five of those who could vote,voted for Labour.How is that remotely 'representative'? Every vote should have equal value,which although not perfect,a proportional representation voting system does offer.FPTP doesn't come close to being representative in comparison to PR.When my vote will really matter i will vote under a PR system.Until then i will abstain from voting alongside the 40% of others who didn't vote.Some people didn't vote on principle.....not that they couldn't be arsed.

There is absolutely no way Labour will complete a full term - nowhere near. My guess is that the party will topple Starmer as damage limitation within the year .Then some angry infighting to elect a replacement (God help ) and then implosion - with plenty of by-elections and then a snap election . Reform needs to be ready to sweep up the votes .
