Tuning: A#-F-A#-D#-Db-D#. Just tune to E and drop it 6 steps. I believe bass is tuned to same octave as guitar. I played it an octave lower just because. For the part at 2 min, you can play it on the first string as well. Just switch the 3&4s for 0&1s pitched down 2 semitoneson the first string. You can get the guitar tabs on HLB website
Hi mate, awesome cover! I have that same bass but the 5 string version have you had any work done to it or are they the standard esp pickups? also I'm curious to know what your string gauges are if you don't mind :)
@DjamesBass it's a sick bass for sure. Everything is stock. I keep the eq knobs center and then adjust the pickup knobs to what sounds best. Usually its mostly the bridge pickup. For the strings I used the ernie ball 130-45 set for the first five strings then a daddario 170 for the sixth. I also have the 130-45 from daddario which I'll prolly use next. I don't think the brand really matters too much.
@@necroux13ah nice man thanks for the response, I'll definitely try your eq suggestion tonight. I've got a balanced .160 set on the way so will be a bit thinner than what you got but hopefully will still sound good with the whammy. Do you have any advice for the tremelo picking I think that's going to be the trickiest part for me to nail down
@DjamesBass .160 should be just fine. For the trem picking, you gotta dig enough so that you're actually getting the note and not just the pick scraping the top of the string but focus on not digging too deep cause you will tire your hand out. Atleast I did. You can also angle the pick a bit so it's less likely to get stuck. And glides through the string better if that makes sense.
